I was checking in on some of the fan projects put together over the past 6+ years. These are some good looking projects. I saw that the VCS put out some books so I was wondering how they may be tied into this site. Thanks for the heads up...

They're not tied in. VCS is a separate site from Valiantfans, but some of the members do belong to both sites though.

The Eternal Warrior 27 VVSS went for $305 tonight. That seems like a very strong price in today's economic climate...

Valiant Reading Set

Did anyone notice if the set of Valiants up on ebay a week or two ago for $995 sold. I think it had an almost complete run of the regular issues. No variants or maybe a few scattered.
Thanks,
Billy

There are a few other high priced BIN auctions going on as well right now. They've been up for quite awhile...

I'm back also...

I have been gone since shortly after Billy left as I also sold a complete Valiant/Acclaim collection. Oldtimers like Knightt have kept the torch going for me. Sure have missed you guys. It was fun talking about something I loved.

Actually have a chance to pick up a complete Pre-Unity collection for cheap. Thinking strongly about it, but afraid it will reignite the passion I had. Since I'm a Completist collector, I know that if I do this, I will then try to complete all the runs. Just don't know...but thinking hard about it. Oy!!

So what did I miss....LOL! When I last left, I was seeing some certificate of authenticity autograph issues floating around. Magnus #0 comes to mind.

Greg, congratulations for keeping this meesage board up and running for 20 years. That's older than my first born and has to be some kind of record. Were you using the old Apple computers back then?...LOL.

Would love to catch up with everyone. Will talk more soon.
I am the Fist and the Steel.....

That set is back up with a BIN of $995 or $999. What would be a fair price to pay for this:
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem ... 1145057532
?

Hard to talk price without seeing more details in this particular auction. If the seller is really serious about getting max coin on these, he should at least break down the condition on key books. Also, early issues like Magnus 1-8 and Harby 1-6, coupons are not even mentioned.

From the pic it looks like a lot of the books are without boards or bags. I doubt if you'll find many in NM condition.
