I say Mattel....I see you were bashing case ratios but they have corrected that and I like the DCUC figures better than ML.I think The Horseman would do an outstanding job with these figures....The downside is this will never happen...Our best chance died with LCBH.Let's face it,unless these characters make a HUGE comeback and the economy gets betterValiant figures are a long shot at best....Don't get me wrong I'd love a Solar figure or a Rai or any of the many others I love but it's a very slim possibility. Then again I never thought MOTU would return and now I can't wait to get King Grayskull!!

I don’t know about that. I believe that Valiant would only have to make a modest comeback and some small company might be willing to pick up the line. Two companys come to my mind: NECA as with the Mirage TMNT and Shocker as with a number of independent properties including a LEGO-like GK Dr. Solar. Further, lets not forget that Marvel has started to venture out with independent character figures too.

I agree ^ the comeback doesn't have to be super huge just big enough to draw interest.

Another possibility…

Diamond Distributors and/or Doctor MEGO have been releasing MEGO styled Star Trek and Planet of the Apes figures. Granted all have been reproductions but soon there will be three all-new figures (Chekhov, Sulu and Kahn).

Image

And lets not forget the FX Show 2007 exclusive Greatest American Hero figure.

Using parts from http://www.doctormego.com/ just about any custom is doable. I believe that there is a X-Men Cyclops-like head for making a certain Man of the Atom. And when I look at that Kirk pictured above I can imagine him in a red tunic and white boots.:thumb:

I just read,

"Dr. Mego is now EMCE Toys. Currently we are making Star Trek and Planet of the Apes megos for Diamond Select Toys."

http://www.megodoctor.com/Merchant2/mer ... ore_Code=M

What would it take for VE to let us do a fan figure with EMCE like the FX GAH? This could be a test for both companies...

Obviously this is going beyond my influence but could someone around here make it happen?

Hasbro don't like to make a lot of toy lines that require a lot of play sets and accessories because according to Hasbro they don't sell.
Toy Biz/Marvel Toys has gone out of business that's why Hasbro is making the Iron Man movie toys and the upcoming Marvel Crossovers Transformers toys. TNA Wrestling toys have been stopped until Jakks Toys can pick up the line in 2010 once their deal with WWE runs out.

Mattel has had problems with way too many versions of Batman and Superman and not enough villains and supporting characters in their Batman Begins and Superman Returns lines.
Although Mattel does seem to favor play sets and vehicles.

McFarlane doesn't make toys he makes statues that are not fun to play with and if you look at them the wrong way they break into a thousand pieces.

I like it.

Action figures, playsets, and vehicles. And the quality is as great as I remember it from 15 years ago.

The Star Wars figures look great but I’ve never been crazy about the scale.
