How often will Jim's blog be updated? Will he get into covering his DarkHorse run?
Are there any film/tv comic based properties you would be interested in working on? Or franchises?
Any interest from IDW/Boom for a potential comic imprint with Jim and the old crew?

Fifty shades of Gray. And a little blue. And orange over there. And a vibrant purple.Knob Row wrote:Erotica is not porn. It's adult reading and she has written some and it's on Amazon.
Or...is it an inside joke?

We worked with Eric Ellenbogan at Broadway and had very limited contact with Lorne. I can only remember meeting him once in the office, but Jim may have met him more than that. He was not around much. I don't know if he was a comics fan or not.vikingspawn wrote:Did Lorne Michaels ever visit the Broadway offices or develope/request any comic ideas there? Was he a big comic fan?
I remember one of the Marvel Team-Up (#74?) issues spotlighted the whole SNL cast from the JohnBelushi/GildaRadner era years. Lorne sounds like he might have been comic book fan. Wondering how deep of a comic fan.![]()
Were he and Jim friends because of that old Marvel Team up comic?

Not really. I knew Dinesh before and I put him in touch with the folks who they acquired the properties from, but I don't have any contact with them beyond a couple of small things like an intro I wrote.Watchtower wrote:You obviously have a strong relationship with the original Valiant (especially with Jim Shooter), but have you connected at all the with new guys running the boat?

Jim doesn't have plans for the blog right now as far as I know. Sorry. I'm disappointed too.vikingspawn wrote:How often will Jim's blog be updated? Will he get into covering his DarkHorse run?

I'm seriously hoping to create a franchise of my own.
I haven't heard any news about comics work, but I haven't spoken with jim about it lately.

This wraps up the Jay Jay Interview... the first of what I hope to be many interviews with other Valiant-stock or maybe just us!
Once again, everyone who contributed is in for a Jay Jay auto (unless you're already automatically in for one from the JS Project).
Jay Jay- thank you so much for your time!!!

Re: Live Chat Here Monday, June 20th **LIVE NOW** With JayJa
No erotica isn't porn, except sometimes the way I write it. lol. But seriously, I'm working on a few novellas and short stories under the pen name Victoria Kinkade and I'm planning to self publish them this fall (hopefully). I have some done, but I made the decision to publish several together at the same time and try to do a big marketing push to get myself noticed. I hope. Thje erotica I write actually spans a wide range of "spicy" from rather pornographic shorts to longer, more romantic novellas. I write horror under my own name and used a pen name for the romance and erotica because I don't think the 2 genres have a similar audience. I like both, but I'm not sure other people do.jmatt wrote:Fifty shades of Gray. And a little blue. And orange over there. And a vibrant purple.Knob Row wrote:Erotica is not porn. Just hung up with Jay Jay who said it was a productive chat... but she knows all of you already!
I am working on Bob Almond to chat with us next as Sal Velluto is recovering from cancer surgery, as reported (and told to me second hand) from Bo Blayton's site.
I have other people in mind too... should I keep doing this, guys?

Thanks again JayJay. Also thanks Joe and jmatt for organization.
Other people? David Lapham but I know he's super busy and hard to reach. If you want to really hit it out of the park, how about BWS?
