I picked Bloodshot Reborn and Ivar.

Both have been solid right out of the gate and show no signs of slowing down.

Imperium #5 is one of my favorite Valiant books of the year so far. Dysart is a master.
X-O Manowar Anniversary Special #1 had amazing art by CAFU and was one of the best X-O stories published in awhile.
Those got my 2 votes!

Imperium and Timewalker were pretty flawless this month. I tried to vote for 3, because Bloodshot reborn was excellent as well. Very close 2nd in my opinion.
Wow. Looking back, what a great month of books!..... except dead drop.

Extremely good month of books in June, picking the best 2 was a tough choice!

1) Imperium 5
2) Bloodshot Reborn 3

Slight gap then...
3) XO 1 25th anniversary special
4) Ninjak 4
5) XO 37

Bigger gap then....
6) Unity

Massive gap then....
7) Dead Drop

Don't read Timewalker.

I feel that this period of time is a creative high for Valiant (in all its forms), surpassing pre-Unity books for quality of story telling and art....anyone disagree?

From the votes so far, it would appear that you're skipping a #2 title if you're skipping Timewalker.

Not reading Timewalker?!?! :o :!: facepalm
Yeah, I'm not a fan of FVL's writing! I had to drop A&A as I was irritated with how lapse he is with details. For example, whilst writers like VDitti research detail from actual Visigoth times FVL has Armstrong referring to people as 'bro' even though the timeline is set hundreds of years ago!! :!: I feel like he writes for the convenience of the issue. I'm not saying he's a bad writer as I know some people love A&A and Timewalker but his style doesn't work for me! :?

I think FVL puts more historical fact into his books than any comic writer I've ever seen. But to each his own.

Imperium is the one title that I simply can't wait to read each month, followed by Timewalker and BS:R.

1) Ivar, Timewalker #5 - just loving this story arc so much right now, this issue was top notch.
2) Ninjak #4 - lots of possible implications spinning out of Roku's origin tale placed Ninjak higher than usual for me.
3) Imperium #5 - actually surprised myself by putting this book third this month, but I got just a little more enjoyment out of my top two fav's
4) Bloodshot Reborn #3 - high quality story & art, this one hardly deserves to be 4th on any list - testament to the great books above it for me.
5) X-O 25th Anniversary Special - love CAFU's art so much.
6) X-O Manowar #37 - a tidy finish to Dead Hand.
7) Dead Drop #2 - bad Archer characterization, but exceptional artwork.
8) Unity #19 - I was seriously disappointed with this issue.

With one week left, Imperium #5 holds the lead with Ivar Comma Timewalker nipping at it's heels.

I've yet to read a single Imperium issue. I need to fix that...

I was just very tired of Harada after the Omegas mini.

I definitely agree with you. Best they've been, by far. I'm still catching up, but I pretty much just have X-O and Imperium left. I'm 3 issues behind on Timewalker, that one has been in my top 2 lately.

I also agree. Maybe the pre-Unity stuff was better by comparison to other books at the time, and now there are so many well-written and drawn comics targeted towards more mature readers (us, you know?). But this is the best Valiant has ever been.

Yeah, and I made that statement before Book of Death #1 and Fall of Bloodshot, 2 fantastic books!! :thumb:

My top 2 are Ivar and Bloodshot with Imperium being a close third.

Both X-O issues were great too. While all the re-starts of BSR, Harada, and Ivar have been very strong, I think V-Ditti with X-O has been the most consistent, stable title that VEI currently publishes. Great job all around.
