Heroes Con 2015 Report
Hey guys, hope everyone had a great weekend. I decided to go on Sunday for this first time and I really liked it. A good crowd but nothing too crazy.
Started out by taken care of some business in the cantina

Then stopped by to see my favorite Star Wars character

Next up was V-Ditti. Super great guy to chat with. I had to give him a hard time about the 25th Anniversary Special (because it was so heart breaking) He actually started busting my chops because I was wearing my Unity shirt. Was able to get him, Nord, and Reber sign my 25th Anniversary Special which was sweet. I told him I would like for him or Kindt to do Eternal Warrior. Can't wait to read The Surrogates. Forgot to take a picture (Fail!)

Next up was Cary Nord. He was great to talk to. He was working on a commission but did a great job of multi tasking

He had some amazing art for purchase and what was funny is the book I brought for him to sigh was #12. Since it was fate, I had to make my first original art purchase from the same book.

Next was the coolest colorest on the east coast Brian Reber (I would say that David Baron takes the west coast
)

Picked up a nice print from him and one from Boardlands down in South Carolina.

And finally we get to the main man himself, Matt Kindt. I would argue that 15 minutes with him is worth the price of admission alone. First we had to do some book burning. It is ok to burn your own book, right?

Got an awesome sketch for "The Valiant" of Mr Flay! That dude is creepy. I also love how you have the eyes in the background. Also love the faces that Matt makes. Had to get in on the action.

And the final haul from Matt. A quick Divinity sketch also.

And to finish strong I have to show this fine job of parking. Thankfully it was beside my car.

Overall it was a great show and I appreciate the Valiant guys being flexible and fun to talk with. Can't wait to get on the west cost to meets others in the gang! Hope you enjoyed the report.

Re: Heroes Con 2015 Report
I got to meet Matt as well, really cool guy. I had him sign all my Divinity #1's, he also did a little sketch for me on my Divinity Blank Variant, although, for whatever reason, he drew Abram, upside down. I also picked up the character design variants for the Valiant #1 & #2, and the Ninjak #1 Sketch, which Matt of course, signed them all as well. When all this happened, Matt wasn't even at his table, I bumped into him at a retailer booth that I saw with a lot of Valiant stuff on the table, which included that Bloodshot Reborn #1, glow in the dark. The steal of the day though, had to be the SDCC "14" preview edition (Dr Mirage) that I found in a dollar bin, in pretty good condition. Here's a link to the pick, I finally made an account with photobucket, and I still can't get it right when it comes to uploading these damn pics, lol
Ps.. I told Matt that he should do a Q&A, for Divinity, help clarify some things, being as though April, is a little ways away. He just assured me that, those lingering questions will be answered, for the most part, in the sequel

Re: Heroes Con 2015 Report
I actually picked up a copy of that Bloodshot Reborn glow in the dark also. That is the shop in South Carolina called Borderlands. I talked with one of the guys for 15 minutes about Valiant and he said they were a big supporter of Valiant. I also learned about the comic con they host. What is great is actually finding a retailer that is a big Valiant supporter. I will be making the 2.5 hour trip sometime to check them out.agent_graves wrote:I got to meet Matt as well, really cool guy. Awesome find. I asked about 3 different booths about Valiant and they all looked at me like I had 3 heads. I gave up after that.agent_graves wrote: The steal of the day though, had to be the SDCC "14" preview edition (Dr Mirage) that I found in a dollar bin, in pretty good condition.
Woody and Abram interacting would be hilarious. I asked Matt when he was going to be writing the whole universe and he said they wouldn't let himagent_graves wrote: Ps.. Yea, those guys were really cool, and big on Valiant, it made me want to spend some money with them. I got their card, which has the information on it for the SC Comic Con, I might have to check that out. That is the shop in South Carolina called Borderlands. Yea, I pretty much had the same experiance, either you got the funny look, or a no.Awesome find. I asked about 3 different booths about Valiant and they all looked at me like I had 3 heads. I gave up after that.
