Be very careful with trying to wear the old clothing. I bought an unopened shadowman short from a board member years ago and finally opened it last year to go to my first con since the 90's and it literally shredded in my hands like tissue paper.

Moths or moisture/heat/damp/dry over and over.

A lot of companies use low-grade shirts to print on, but there are many quality (thicker) shirts out there that can be used. Companies just have to either sell their product for more to cover the cost, or make less on he sale.
