In which case you still can't read it.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Basically only from the international members on here because they had a tough time getting them.

There were no requirements for ordering these books. You could order them just like a Cover A vs. Cover B. They just cost an extra dollar. The extra material was justified in that cost (in my opinion).

I wouldn't mind paying an extra dollar (or maybe even 2 extra dollars) for a "limited" miniseries (although I would probably complain about that since it is only 24 pages - nothing extra), but I can't even get my LCS to order this series (as it requires ordering more copies of another separate book that he thinks he cannot sale).
You can't offer to pay him, in advance, his cost of 25 books, and take the LotG and one of each cover? You'd still end up with 6 books (4 regular, 1 blank, 1 1:10, and LotG) which works for a good average at the $20 cost, and he has the rest for free to sell, including a 1:10.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

It's even worse than that. 4 regular covers, 1 blank, 2 x 1:10 and 1x 1:25, plus LoG #1, if you offer the store $20 for one of each of those, they will be left with (FOR FREE) 20 copies of A-D, plus 1:10 variant. FREE OF CHARGE, no returns required, but if they choose to return, they will get 20x.80c, $16 back. So they make 36 on 20 without trying. And if they can't return, they still get 21 free books.

I still haven't talked to him personally (we're just now getting back on our feet from this stupid set of illnesses). Hoping to talk to him this weekend.

We shall see.

I really don't want the extra covers, though.

That's what I'm doing with mine! My LCS is basically letting me order at cost to get the incentives. At those prices, I'm handing them out to people at my LCS in hopes of attracting them to Valiant!

My supplier has got me issue 1 for £11.50. Issues 2 to 4 will cost between £7.50 and £23.50 each depending on what any returnable rules are. Not ideal, but it's better than nothing.

These ultra-hard-to-come-by-so-its-impossible-to-complete-a-set is exactly what led me away from collecting sports cards. All these limited edition covers are like those limited sports cards when the sports card industry did just before the the sports cards industry collapsed.

OK, I sold sports cards for 10 years, so I know that *SQUEE*, but comparing that to this is a bit on a dramatic side. You can buy the whole set of 4 issues from us for $50 http://comicsandcards.net/store-front/l ... r-1-4-set/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Well i found out ... my LCS will sell me the book of death #1 and the legends of the Geomancer for 25 bucks

And basically he could give the rest of the issues for free and break even

I'm going to be really curious about how much these will go for on ebay over the coming months ...

It's going to be all over the place, I think. A better question is what the various BoD issues will look like. If there are enough pre-orders for the LotG book, I can see there be a lot of order-alls returned (regardless of how returns on books have historically gone). If that happens, I imagine that dealers will keep the incentives. Since there are 4 regular covers and a blank, if they were all ordered in equal proportions (I know this doesn't happen), then they would only be twice as common as the 1:10s (if my understanding of how the incentives work is correct – please someone correct me if I'm wrong – that the incentives take into account all of the numbers of order-alls). Since they're not ordered in equal proportions normally, I imagine some of the order-alls, especially after returns, will be out there in equal numbers to the 1:10.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.
