Who would win...... A Jedi master vs _____________
So, time for some weekend tomfoolery.
So who would win in a fight, and a one sentence explanation.
Who would win in a fight, A Jedi master ( not the best Jedi ever, but not some new Jack Jedi either. A Jedi Master) vs:
Toyo Harada
X-O Manowar
Ninjak
Gilly
Rai
Archer
Bloodshot.
And you don't need to answer for every person, but you should.

Jedi tops them all except Harada and X-O Manowar. Toyo would just rip their faces off. Aric would pfaff their heads.

Re: Who would win...... A Jedi master vs _____________
Hmmm. You will need to specify which Jedi Master since they have different combat skills and Force abilities.
Are you referring Mace Windu or Kit Fisto. Yoda and Luke Skywalker maybe considered the best Jedi Master.
Obi-Wan could beat X-O Manowar, Ninjak, Gilly, Rai , Archer and Bloodshot. Possibly not Toyo Harada.

I'm thinking Archer with his learning/activating new skills on the fly would be an even match with a Jedi Knight such as Luke (from the movies at least, don't know much from the books).
Hard to say with Ninjak. I hear Boba Fett is pretty good at taking on Jedi head on, so another coin toss perhaps.

I remember his fight with Darth Vader on the Death Star. He looked like an old man swinging at a pinata and missing.drmirage wrote:Obi-Wan could beat X-O Manowar, Ninjak, Gilly, Rai , Archer and Bloodshot. Possibly not Toyo Harada.

Okay, so we're assuming a universe where both realities co-exist, which means Archer has knowledge of the force, which pretty much means he kicks everyone's @$$.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Re: Who would win...... A Jedi master vs _____________
Good point. You're referring to Ben Kenobi (the old buy from the movies)
Its true that he looked like an old man and did get killed but became one with the Force.
Obi-Wan (General Kenobi) isn't the best jedi, but possibly one of the most experienced Jedi Masters of all time.
He's has great Force abilities and is one of the best lightsaber duelists. Obi-wan is the master of both Anakin and Luke Skywalker. He defeated two Sith Lords including Darth Maul and is one of the only Jedi's who survived Order 66.
Could a lightsaber cut through an X-O Manowar Armor?

Yes, a light saber can cut X-O armor, but I'd say a lightning sword could fight it.

I think XO's big advantage is speed, flight, and the ability to fight from a distance.
But how awesome would it be to see a jedi deflecting blasts from XO?

Disagree completely. In the opening scenes of The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon and Obi Wan are trapped in a room and Qui-Gon has to use his light saber to carve his way through the blast door, don't you remember how slow the process was?Elveen wrote:Yes, a light saber can cut X-O armor
Shanhara is easily tougher than a standard blast door; a blow from a light saber would merely glance off of it.

Pfff. We all know those movies don't count! (just going for the fan-boy argument here). Separators of matter, light sabers are.jmatt wrote:Disagree completely. But I still don't think a light saber would bounce off.

I know. Just messing with how Lucas threw his own canon out the window. I'm thinking Shanhara would put up some good resistance to a light saber.
I'm thinking (huge fan of Aric, mind you) that a Jedi mind trick would be the end of him. He just seems to be the type to fall for one. Perhaps not with the armor on though.

Re: Who would win...... A Jedi master vs _____________
I think a lunge attack would pierce Shanhara just like the blast door. Plus, the slowness wasn't based on the cutting ability, but the thickness of the door, so Qui-Gon was struggling with the over one foot thick mass.jmatt wrote:Disagree completely. Re: Who would win...... A Jedi master vs _____________
Harada, XO, Pete, Ninjak, Archer, possibly even Rai would all win against a jedi.
Anyone with long distance fighting capabilities could win this one. Archer could be a jedi. Hell, even Livewire, in the right setting could use all the electronics around her to beat a jedi.
Don't get me wrong. I love star wars, but jedi aren't all that powerful.
Oh, and check this out if you haven't already seen it.

False. The power to destroy an entire planet is insignificant next to the power of the force.Bone-A-Fach-ee wrote: Don't get me wrong. I love star wars, but jedi aren't all that powerful.

Re: Who would win...... A Jedi master vs _____________
Really, they're just psychic ninjas, so I would think even Ninjak would be able to stand up to them. The Valiant characters are all pretty damn tough, really. So to beat a Valiant character the Jedi would have to be starring-role good at what they do. In that case, young Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Yoda spring to mind as the only Jedi that would stand a chance.
I mean, what with psiots being such a big part of the VU, the characters pretty much all have some kind of answer to psionics. So the Jedi really aren't that different than something they would normally fight.
