I was wondering how GraveDog, would end up on Harada's side, but if he has any intentions other than serving Harada, things will end pretty bad for him.. I like that Harada's team isn't put together officially yet, it makes for a better read imo, seeing how the team forms...

Reminds me a bit of the Renegades arc when Dysart gave us a look into each member while also moving the plot along. Great stuff from him again here.agent_graves wrote:I was wondering how GraveDog, would end up on Harada's side, but if he has any intentions other than serving Harada, things will end pretty bad for him.. You are right that was Gravedog detonating from his cell phone, so did he blow up their chopper or did he blow up lifeline on the leviathan?jmatt wrote:I will agree, they don't look the same. And now that I'm looking at it again, that's Gravedog's thumb pressing the button on his cellphone. I thought that since the caption was "Lifeline. Onboard Leviathan" that was the operative pushing the detonation button. But the color of the panels and the line "...you'll live through this" make it plain that's it's Gravedog detonating the ship.hawkeyeps wrote:But Harris worked for Angela and was on the science team, he wasn't assigned to Lifeline.
And why would Kozol allow a known traitor on the lifeline bridge at a critical moment?
My bad. I was fooled by the caption. And Gravedog told Kozol to leave the operative in place, which further made me think there was some justification for him being there.
So we're back to not knowing what Rachel and Harris are up to.
What was the meaning of the cut away panel to the leviathan?

Ho Hum ... More brilliant work from Dysart
This is just smartly plotted ... With wonderful little details here and there that really shape the story and the characters
Harada is not even in the comic .. Yet it still did a great job of continuing his development as a polarizing figure in the world.
Gravedog is one of my favorite new characters.
I echo many of the comments here - and this is already shaping up as one of Dysart's best arcs.
And it really helps to have a phenomenal artist like Braithwaite on this book.
9/10

Fantastic second issue. This book is one of the smartest on the racks right now. Pitch perfect, and I was totally pumped to see new H.A.R.D Corps. I love their new costume and the new player GraveDog. Cool code name. Imperium might be my favorite title from Valiant (well, besides the Valiant). Nice work.

Totally enjoyed this. I was enthralled by the first issue, and this just ramped things up. Grave Dog is one of the most-strongly realised characters VEI has added since the relaunch IMHO, especially in context on new creations: I would rank him with Shan Mirage, Kay McHenry and Monica Jim all as some incredibly compelling characters standing out amid a rich array of other great characters new and old. To do that so succinctly with Grave Dog points to the strength of Dysart's craft for me.
This was possibly better than the first issue for me; no mean feat. Wow.
