Harbinger Wars #1 price/sales tracking

If you run across a copy of Harbinger Wars #1 non-variant on eBay, please post a link here. Sold, or for sale. Thanks. Actually post variant sales of that book here too. That is a really tough book.
Disclaimer: I have a dog in this fight. I just bought the last 9 copies of Harbinger Wars #1A on eBay, except for a single copy which remains there for sale, plus a second copy of 1A that remains still for sale there at this moment that is autographed with an asking price of 14.95 obo.

This should be interesting, though I'm not sure how many sales of the higher variants there will be...

One obvious reason I think this book is about to break is there being only 1 copy available on eBay. Another reason is the heat this book has been getting on eBay after the movie deal. This ended listing is an example of that heat. So, really issue 1A has dried up on eBay, and I'm sure there is still demand for it.

One interesting thing is that impulsecreations still is making 330 copies of the Harbinger Wars 1 pullbox variant available on eBay via the below listing. However, they ended their Harbinger Wars 1A listing early, so that could happen on their pullbox listing too.

I think I still have at least 25 copies each of cover A and cover B.

Fortunately for several of you, I'm not a hoarder, per se.

Just a ho :P .

Aahhh gentlemen welcome to the club. Just before the news broke Bleeding Cool posted a story about people needing to pick up Harbinger and Bloodshot comics. I took to the clues and before the movie news broke I picked up dozens of Harbinger 1 and 3 for under $2. Ea. :D but as most people know I am a hoarder! . Just been waiting patiently till someone started this thread to tell this story. :D

I bought a fat stack of these just after the announcement (heck, I've been buying up everything HW-related) and I know I wasn't the only one. But I think this book won't be organically hard to find like Divinity, though.

I think ultimate comics is selling a
#4 doe 1:20 for 199.99
I know they price valiant variants
Really optimistically.
I also know a store that has a
Harbinger wars 1:20 in the dollar
Pile.
I'm not hearing much pickup in
Regular valiant book sales and i
Think the only way valiant price
Rises are for real is if the
Readership actually grows. Many
Titles are 10000 copies or under
Split between multiple covers.
Sellouts arent a surprise with this
Scenario. A few more people
Listening to investcomics and
Picking up dead drop expecting a
Rise in prices. But they have bern
Touting valiant books in the past
With no additional interest. I would
Say any valiant 1:20 is a good pickup
Any regular book discounted to a
$1 as well.

I see a harbinger wars 2 1:50 for $69
Buy it now. And someone on this site is
Selling a 1:50 not sure which issues.
Id say a great buy even if you have one

I wonder why the pullbox variant seems so much more common than the regular edition?

So, in a situation like this, is there an "IT" book? 1a? 1b? 1:20? 1:50? I have a few of the 1:20 in excellent condition. Wondering if that was the right pony to bet on?

The #1 1:50 I would say the number one book to have.
I think HW #1 will be a key key book.

For the record I do not have a 1:50 and only a few #1s

:breakingnews:

Just picked up 25 NM copies on Midtown. I scooped up what my LCS had a few weeks ago, but the first appearance factor of this issue is ridiculous.

Get while the getting is good. The print run is 18k, about double Divinity 1 but I can see a market when the movies get close.

Is there any reason why people don't buy from mycomicshop.com? They have copies listed for sale. They were just added recently after being out of stock.

Yes, because the books are never near mint. I bought some listed as nm and they had several color breaks in the spine. Not even close to grading correctly. Just not worth the hassle to return them.

I bought a bunch from Midtown and was very disappointed in their condition.

I've been reasonably happy with MCS, but it is hit or miss just like Mile High, Midtown, etc. For me, I don't mind as much as long as it's just $3-5 comics. My worst experience, though, was a few years back when I was putting together a Miracleman run by trading in my old comics to them for credit and buying NM raw MM's. Unfortunately, I ended up having to sell them off when I bought a house and I sold them back to MCS. Guess what? All those raw 9.4's and 9.2's I bought from them for $$ were now marginal VF's in their opinion. When I complained to customer service that I had bought the comics from them, still with their sticker/grade on it, and had never opened them, the MCS rep gave me some answer about how he even he could immediately see large spine stresses and made it sound like they did me a favor in considering them VF.

Sorry, not meaning to derail the HW #1 topic.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll keep that in mind about MCS.

I grabbed a NM copy of HW # 1 and will hope for the best. It's a small enough investment.

I'm curious if anyone has sold theirs from Round #1. There's 22 of these books around.

Peter Stern had to chase down Peter Cuneo for his signature...it took us months to acquire this.
