Marvel/DC Who?
Hello to everyone.
I had my first exposure to the Valiant Universe back during the "Deathmate" Image/Valiant crossover event. After that, life happened.
Flash Forward to Emerald City Comic Con 2015 when I went to the Valiant 101 & 25th Anniversary panels on a lark. Holy hell, both of those panels were awesome and I suddenly realized what I had been missing all these years.
Long story short, I went back to the Valiant Booth and spent about $250 on all the available TPBs that were there, and the deluxe X-O Manowar (which turned out to be signed & numbered).
Returned home, immediately hit Amazon.com for the rest of the TPBs, added all the active titles to my subscription list so I wouldn't miss anything more, and bookmarked the Valiant website.
Today, I found this board, signed up, got approved, and now here I am.
So, in closing, I must say that I haven't been more excited about comics in a very long time.

Welcome to the boards. It's fun here as long as you steer clear of the Canadians.
Oregon Coast... That's awful close to Canada...
I bet you're another Canadian sympathizer. I'm not having much luck with new recruits...

Welcome from another newbie! I went to the Valiant panel at SC Comiccon last month, and it inspired me to drop a was of cash at the Valiant booth myself. Were they giving out Ivar golds there as well?

An unfortunate first exposure experience back in the day, but great story of your come-back to the Valiant Universe! I love hearing stories like this - welcome (back) to the fold!

Re: Marvel/DC Who?
I am new to comics and happy to have found Valiant early enough that I didn't waste too much time or money on Marvel or DC.
And I was in the room with you at ECCC.
