Re: Harbinger #1 CGC 9.8s on eBay (past and current auctions
Another thing that sellers don't like to hear, is that ebay will bend over backwards for buyers because their the driver for sales and revenue. If all the buyers leave the site dissolves, but if a lot of sellers leave and the competition for selling decreases, quickly people will fill the void to sell since it's so easy to do.nycjadie wrote:I totally get it. I give people several weeks to pay. It's not an issue on my end. I have a regular guy in Mexico that buys my stuff. Sometimes he's short on cash. Sometimes he wants to wait until he has 150-200 books before I mail them. He's taken up to 3 months to pay. I don't mind. BUT, he communicates expectations. Non-paying bidders never communicate, despite reminders.

Just checked that one and this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harbinger-1-VAL ... 4abdec5287 and they each sold for $600. Not bad, but I thought the blue label had sold at $1000 and the green label had sold for $1200.greg wrote:That's probably related to this, right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/161637512450" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Has anyone bought from Comiclink before? They have a Harbinger #1 CGC 9.8 with a BIN of $450.
Re: Harbinger #1 CGC 9.8s on eBay (past and current auctions
This makes me wonder how much a Shooter and JJ signed yellow label would go for..

So I got some more raw copies somewhere else.

I bought it, but on Comiclink that means nothing. After you buy something, Comiclink asks the real seller for "confirmation". If the seller does not conform or confirms in the negative, it just doesn't happen. There's no indication on the site that this process is going on, so someone could have put in an order before me.BloodShot wrote:Did you get it, Chrisckb wrote:Not any longer.Dr Noel wrote:Has anyone bought from Comiclink before? This is exactly why I won't use comiclink anymore. I put in a bid on Marvel Secret Wars 8 CGC 9.8. The process was strung out forever and I missed the opportunity to purchase the book because I thought I was the "winner" of the book on comiclink. After the seller didn't agree to the sale and I'd lost two opportunities to buy the MSW 8 elsewhere I vowed to never use comiclink again.ckb wrote:I bought it, but on Comiclink that means nothing. And that's why I decided to ask first. The price seemed too good to be true. Plus, I'm not much of a hoarder. I just like the one copy for my collection.Intrepidxc wrote:This is exactly why I won't use comiclink anymore. I put in a bid on Marvel Secret Wars 8 CGC 9.8. Re: Harbinger #1 CGC 9.8s on eBay (past and current auctions
Tracking a PGX 9.8 for $678 on ComicConnect (http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=299973). I offered $300 and didn't hear back.
My fear is that it is possibly a 9.6 in disguise, which is why I am willing to gamble with an offer of $300 for it, if it truly is 9.8 (I of course would crack-out and resubmit...), and if it turned out to be a 9.6 I wouldnt feel as bad as if I had paid $678 for a 9.6. DAMN YOU PGX!!!!

Re: Harbinger #1 CGC 9.8s on eBay (past and current auctions
Someone please assist me word this correctly via PM. I'm too angry to think.
---------------------------------------------------
Good morning,
I'm not sure how to approach this purchase, as I paid $182 for a what appeared to be a raw NM/M 9.8 copy of Harbinger #1 that was listed on your site.
However, the book was recieved incomplete as it does not have the coupon inside that is required for the book to be considered NM/M or a legitimate 9.8. The listing DID NOT state that the coupon had been removed, which is an action that SIGNIFICANTLY decreases the market value of this book and further renders it both incomplete and virtually not sellable.
While $182 is an acceptable and appropriate price in the present market for the book as listed; in the incomplete condition I received it in, it might sell for $20-40, if at all.
I am unsure if this was deliberate on the part of the seller, or an honest mistake that was made. However, receiving an incomplete book purchased under the reasonable expectation of recievig a NM/M complete copy as listed and which was paid for is simply not right.
Please let me know what can be done to correct this problem.
