Looks pretty dead..lol. But in reality with the exception of Valiant (and they have been tricky! Lol) no comic book character is "dead". It used to be the only characters that were dead was Bucky Barnes and Jason Todd. We see where that is now! Lol. The only thing that matters is does it well our books now? Anything can be changed. Even over 70 years of history! So no I don't worry that he will stay dead. Now all that being said Superman 75 and Captain America will still fetch you $20. So if you can pick this up at cover why now? :?

Jason Todd, Bucky, Gwen Stacy, Uncle Ben and Captain Marvel (The original Marvel character Mar-Vell) seemed to be the untouchable characters for a long time but they have all been seen over the last 10-15 years in one form or another except Mar-Vell I believe. No one stays dead, such a shame. Imagine if VEI killed off Pete or Toyo or some other major character, Flamingo was bad enough, but a more major character? Might generate some big publicity.

There is art on line from the next issue that shows him on life support.
Not dead.

Yeah, my little shop that used to have lots of stuff 3-10 days after everyone else had sold out, no longer is such a secret, apparently. All the "hot" new books that came out this week are already gone, or inthe case of S-G & Silk, they had less than 10 copies of each left.

Dammit.

*sigh*

You should be safe. That book was heavily ordered. Though I suspect many stores held back a bunch anticipating this news so they could sell them at a higher price on eBay. But again that's just a hunch.
Wouldn't TWD 127 be more coveted? I would hold onto those copies, far fewer than Outcast.
Both Outcast #1 and Walking Dead #127 sold around 71,000 copies. Outcast #1 is reported at 71,788 and TWD #127 is at 71,352. Not really much of a difference.
While I imagine that there is a big crossover in TWD fans and Outcast fans, where there are people that aren't fans of both you'll have Outcast fans and TWD fans looking to get a hold of TWD 127 (if they're the type of collectors that chase previews).

I think the previews are going to make things interesting if VEI books heat up.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Know what books has blown up in the last year, and did so soooo quietly that I did not notice? Venom vs. Carnage by Clayton Crain. A year ago I was still picking these up in dollar bins. Very shocking because I thought Toxin was a useless character (even though now it's bonded to Eddie Brock) and minis never go up. Clayton is great but why is this book so hot now? Toxin 1st app is issue two anyway. Any ideas? :?

What year is that from? Some of those Venom books have pretty low print runs.

2004. I know the print run was not high but still is that enough to jump prices like that? And in less than a year? I am used to prices moving but normally there is a motivating factor as to why. I don't see that here.

When did Toxin bond to Eddie Brock? That's a pretty important event. Good topic, btw.

Toxin was bonded with Eddie Brock in ghost rider? Might be Amazing Spider Man. It was during the of so forgettable circle of hell crossover with the female Ghost Rider, Agent Venom, Red Hulk. I remember reading it and thinking how awful it was and how much better the dynamic was with the cop. I mean he was married and had a baby on the way and Toxin was very child like with a killer disposition. It was the first time I think where we "heard" a symbiote talk.

I was always buying the Venom vs Carnage because Crain's artwork is amazing. No one should try and follow his Carnage. But I thought the story had real potential, but when Eddie bonded with Toxin and I read that they "killed some cop " that had bonded to it I was done. The end of Venom was pretty awful
, except for the beautiful Shane Davis covers.

I didn't like how they killed off Pat Mulliganbut I figured they would as Eddie Brock was bound to get a symbiote again.
