CGC Boards Valiant Discussion

There has been a good amount of talk over at the CGC Boards due to the recent Valiant news. This is a good thing as discussion of Valiant is normally fairly limited over there. We are seeing some people speculating on Valiant or at least asking what the key books are, leading me to believe they are speculating on the books. I think this is a good thing. The CGC Boards have long been known for the speculating that goes on in the Moderns (Coppers, etc.) that are heating up sections. I think this is a good thing (in moderation). I think Valiant needs some speculation on it's books for the back issue market to be healthy and to draw in new readers who hear the buzz. For any of you that follow completed sales on Ebay I would ask that you post significant sales on this website so those of us who frequent the CGC boards can link them over there or go post over at the CGC Boards so that people who are not aware of Valiant see these are books they need to be picking up along with their Marvel and Image books. I think some people don't even realize how good some of these books are and hope discussion can bring in new readers.

It is a Big thing for Valiant to be talked about on the CGC boards, especially the threads you mentioned.

The market is FOR SURE swayed by the topics there.

Well we know slym will agree EW 4 is bloodshot's first appearance. Just like Hulk 180 is wolverine's first appearance

I know I just picked up a EW 4 CGC 9.8 on ebay for $54 dollars. The movie announcement finally made me get off my butt and get that book purchased. Now to get a Rai 0 in CGC 9.8.

Last I heard Slym said IH#181 was his first appearance and IH#180 was just a cameo.

One of the reasons I haven't been posting here much is that I've been keeping up with some threads over there. (The other reason is that there's just a lot of things taking up my time these days)

I'll watch. I'm curious as to what a 9.6 is going for. I nearly sold one for $60, but I decided to hold on to it.

Prior to the announcement last week, Harbinger 1 in 9.6 went regularly for $75-$78 at true auction, with 6-7 copies sitting for months at $99 buy-it-nows. 9.8s were at $325 buy-it-nows (x4-5).

All gone now.

Will look like a bargain in the not too distant future. My advice to all the peeps on the board is to stock up on Harby 1's.
