Re: Post your new OA in your collection here!
Very nice pick up Cyclops ..... I love Henry's artwork a lot. I have to admit that I like seeing his work without color .... It adds a whole different dimension.
I grabbed a couple of new pieces too. I really need a scanner.
Mico Suayan - Bloodshot Reborn Splash

Brent Peeples - The Valiant #4 , Hasting Variant

Finally .......... Gonna have to wait to see the next piece though guys. All I have to say is Rai , Clayton Crain , acrylics on canvas.

Super stoked to get my 3rd Valiant Next / Muller cover/page , to go with Timewalker and Bloodshot Reborn.

Trevor Hairsine / Ryan Winn - Divinity #1 page 10

I think I have a problem ......

Awesome snags! I really dig Peeple's take on Bloodshot and Kay on that piece; completely awesome, and in color!turbod16 wrote:I grabbed a couple of new pieces too. I really need a scanner.

Re: Post your new OA in your collection here!
Prelim cover art for Ninjak #3. When I picked up the cover for Ninjak #1, I asked Lewis if I could commission a page of concepts; just random ideas. He agreed, but decided to include it with my cover as a gift rather than charge me $100-200.
He was pleased with a few of the sketches, and submitted them for VEI consideration. Apparently, as we can now see, this one was picked!
I think that's sorta cool.

I really like that one too , it's probably my fav. I haven't been able to pry any of The Valiant artwork away from Paolo yet , so this one fills the gap for me.DirtbagSailor wrote:Awesome snags! That's a cool prelim piece , the cover is very nice. I like the use of negative space. LaRosa is definitely on my hit list soon.

Do you have contact with Clayton Crain's art rep, or do you deal with him direct? I really wouldn't mind getting my hands on some of his RAI painted work.turbod16 wrote:That's a cool prelim piece , the cover is very nice. I like the use of negative space. LaRosa is definitely on my hit list soon.

Re: Post your new OA in your collection here!
I was REALLY lucky on that front. I signed for his commission list (which says wait times can be up to year) when I learned he was going to be in Toronto in March. So I just figured he would be doing work at the show and I was going try and get a sketch cover or 2 done. Fast forward a week or two and I get an Emil from Clayton saying that he would be taking 3 pre-show commissions that can only be picked up at the show and no deliveries. So I jumped all over that.DirtbagSailor wrote:Do you have contact with Clayton Crain's art rep, or do you deal with him direct? You will not regret it. Best money I've ever spent on comics related stuff was my Crain Bleeding Monk commission.

One of the coolest pieces I've seen him do was acrylic on canvas (a huge canvas) for his wife's birthday. It was Hermione in the Hogwarts library. It was awesome.turbod16 wrote:lorddunlow wrote:turbod16 wrote:I was REALLY lucky on that front. Yes , he has a pic of that on his website but I'm sure it doesn't do it justice. My commission will be quite small in comparison I'm sure. I think it's an 8 x 10 , none the the less , I'm over the moonlorddunlow wrote:One of the coolest pieces I've seen him do was acrylic on canvas (a huge canvas) for his wife's birthday. I picked up some odds & ends from Matthew Clark recently.
He did Bloodshot #7 and some pages from Harbinger #4 and #5.
Here's the prelim for Bloodshot #7 page 2:

Ivar #2 page 14 by Robert Gill.
First appearance of The Lurker!

This is my first page from Robert. I was needing to add something of his to my collection.
I was happy he also included a sketch:

Just put the artwork up behind the statue for the photo, and the comic book 9.8 for kicks. Have to frame and arrange the vol3 issue 7.
Usually the comic book and the artwork are nearby but not on display. The last page is the recent purchase.
Hope you like it.
This is not a staged photo shot ~ ask Shadowman99. So before you ask the answer is yes, I don't like to move it arround to much so I just left it in the photo.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.
