Re: Dead Drop?
Cast does seem weird, but could be an interesting grouping. I'm more concerned about Ales Kot--not the biggest fan of his work. Plus, new people in the Valiant Universe!? That both scares and... well, scares me.

Re: Dead Drop?
from another thread...
ales kot is a very talented writer and the premise sounds so fresh and way "out there", i totally love it & can't wait to read it.
props @ vei for trying out something new!!

the mini sounds F A N T A S T I C !krylox wrote:
XO Manowar. It being the flagship, i could imagine vei doing something special with him again, like with armor hunters in 2014. Maybe an additional mini-series? just a flashy one-shot/annual? at least 13 issues a year.

This sounds awesome!
Hopefully this puts an end to the "Can Q&W exist in the Valiant Universe" horse hockey that's been going around...

Re: Dead Drop?
Definetly intrigued by the premise. And Kot is another score for Valiant.
Re: Dead Drop?
But it does help grow the universe by a bunch. I do find it weird that it's just Arch wonder where Armstrongs hanging.jaden_sai wrote:I concurBugsySig wrote:I like Ales Kot, but this ensemble cast sounds wierd.

Re: Dead Drop?
I suspect the action takes place over a short period of time, and so Armstrong's absence can be easily explained away or he may be shown in cameo.dornwolf wrote:But it does help grow the universe by a bunch. Re: Dead Drop?
Sounds fun!
This is just further proof of their confidence in building on a long term plan. Mixing in new characters(beta-max, Cujedo) with well established classic characters X-O and Archer in a story that feels very unusual, quirky and self-contained. Its like a nice counter-balance to the big 2's major event extravaganza's.

Re: Dead Drop?
Even though I'm not familiar with two of the characters and the writer this sounds really interesting. I really like the idea of a mini to expand on minor characters so while I don't know who Cujedo and Beta-Max are this interests me. I like that Valiant is expanding beyond their old universe slowly instead of just giving new and untested characters their own series.

Re: Dead Drop?
I don't know Alex Kot but this does sound like an uninspiring choice of cross over characters for the mini? I'll still check it out but I'm not particularly hyped up for it.jaden_sai wrote:I concurBugsySig wrote:I like Ales Kot, but this ensemble cast sounds wierd.

Re: Dead Drop?
Cejudo sure. But Beta-Max...
I'll give it a try, but he's a little too goofy for me. (I loved him in Q&W, by the way, but that series is goofy.)

Bring it on, man! Kot's Zero title, by Image, is a trip.
