Armourines vol 2 and 4 found within a set of armorines volume one.
Seriously bummed abut that ~ almost returned it.

Happy days!

Don't know why I even brought the set, lucky I did.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Today at a shop in a town I had a business meeting in, all NM, all $1 each:
Rai 0, 4, 5
Solar 3-8
Magnus 5-7, 12
Shadowman 0 (both versions), 1

Also got a high grade Gold Key Magnus 21 for $8

I think that's the cheapest I've ever paid for those issues. Back in 1991-1992, I paid through the nose for some of those early issues, and I missed out on Magnus 12!

It's crazy how cheap valiants are now, they seem to be the cheapest level since the boom of the 90s.

At some point this has to turn, as far as V1 prices. I think.

I ran across a seller on eBay selling 20 NM bagged and boarded copies of Bloodshot 1 from VEI for 16.00, including shipping. I had to hit the BIN on that, even though I already had maybe 10 copies of it.

I had extra insurance on mine. It still came broke and the post office refused to pay out. All that after 4 months of back and forth. I think the jostling of the package at the post office broke it worse too.

I used to repair metal toy soldiers, so I figure I can repair this one. Just don't seem to have the time away from the kids to manage it. Some day...

Auction find last night:

Albedo 1 thru 8 for $58.00, # 2 is 9.0 range :D :D :D :D
2 other dudes/known ebay sellers were bidding aggressively on Marvel/DC bronze & silver (no major bargains there) but apparently neither was familiar with Usagi Yojimbo.

I also picked up:
2 sets of Legends (1986 DC L.S.) for $10
A stack of Civil War issues with 6 of the 7 Turner variants and 3 sketch variants for $10
and Planet Hulk 92-102 for $10
