Could be interseting.

Re: Dead Drop?
I like the name
My 2 guesses of what it might be
1) Sounds like a good pulpy crime noir name ... Maybe that Venditti detective crime comic coming to fruition?
2) Could be an offshoot of Dead hand ... maybe a character that comes out of that X-O story arc
Excited to see what it could be!

Bleeding cool often jumps to conclusions about such things. I would bet it's just a story arc... A crossover at the most.

Perhaps a new mini coming in May? We have plenty of open spots for that month, and it would make sense they start teasing it now before the May solicitations come out middle of Feb.

Re: Dead Drop?
I think there are two spots left (if sticking with the 9 per month for May):Keith wrote:Perhaps a new mini coming in May? We have plenty of open spots for that month, and it would make sense they start teasing it now before the May solicitations come out middle of Feb.
1. Bloodshot Reborn #2
2. Imperium #4
3. Ivar, Timewalker #5
4. XO Manowar #36
5. Ninjak #3
6. Divinity #4 (of 4)
7. Unity #18
8.
9.
IF Dead Drop isn't a story arc (which I think is the most likely scenario) perhaps it could be the name of an event mini focusing on the supernatural corner of the Valiant U? In which case, we could see:
8. The Death-Defying Doctor Migage Second Life #1 (ongoing

9. Darque Passages #1 (of 4)
followed by June's 9th title replacing Diviniy:
Shadowmen #1 (yep, I said 'men' not 'man' - could bring an interesting dynamic to the past and present Shadowman)

Re: Dead Drop?
This is why it's al,out guaranteed to be a story arc. We know Dr. Mirage is comng back, EW has another mini coming and Q&W will likely be on the stands every month. Two of those take spots 8 & 9 and the other takes Divinity's slot in June. Plus Rai will return shortly thereafter.Bl00dsh0t wrote:I think there are two spots left (if sticking with the 9 per month for May):Keith wrote:Perhaps a new mini coming in May? If so the ongoing is *really* on hiatus isn't it?

With May being FCBD month. Companies normally take advantage of at least one big launch to coincide with the first saturday of the month, and go alongside their FCBD offerings.
Re: Dead Drop?
My bet is that it's the name of an arc for Armorines.

Re: Dead Drop?
Well I wasn't gonna comment on this as I didn't see the immediate potential connection to Valiant universe. So I looked up "dead drop" in wikipedia and it describes it as an espionage term. So my guess is it might have something to do with Ninjak or possibly a Secret Weapons book. I really have no idea which, and it's so little of rumor to go on.

BTW, there is Dead Drop possibly coming up, and we know about Dead Hand. Naming coincidence or something more?
