So something new from Jen van Meter after the Valiant Next initiative. Maybe an ongoing or a nother miniseries. : IWhat personal project are you working on for 2015 that you’re especially pumped about?
This is going to be a good year for me, I think. I’m truly excited about a couple things that haven’t been announced yet, but I’ve got more coming from Valiant and a new volume of Hopeless Savages coming out, and I’m thrilled about both of those.

This is great news
I hope they just let her continue writing for Dr. Mirage ... But add more characters into the mix. Make it a supernatural team book or ensemble.

Good news. I hope it means more Dr. Mirage, preferably an ongoing and not another bloody mini series.

I hope it has something to do with Dr. Mirage and Flamingo. someone posted something like that, and it hasn't left my mind since!

That could make for a cool arc, and a way to draw Dr. Mirage into the wider VEI world.Bone-A-Fach-ee wrote:I hope it has something to do with Dr. Mirage and Flamingo. someone posted something like that, and it hasn't left my mind since!

Maybe get a new artist for Dr. Mirage. Can't say I'm a fan of the current one. That haphazard look just isn't my style.

Re: More coming from Jen van Meter after Dr. Mirage
I have felt RDLT's style is well suited to Dr. Mirage as it was Shadowman. Yes some panels intent could be cleaerer, but I find the same of much-vaunted Clayton Crain.david_albuq wrote:Maybe get a new artist for Dr. Mirage. Can't say I'm a fan of the current one. Definitely different strokes for different folks.

I read "new volume of Hopeless Savages" and blocked out everything else due to some sort of joy shock.

I think she's done a great job with Mirage and am delighted she'll be doing more work for Valiant.

Re: More coming from Jen van Meter after Dr. Mirage
Personally I'd like to see a title set in VEI's past involving March's occult spy from Death Defying Dr Mirage plus edition. An occult super hero indiana jones type character

Re: More coming from Jen van Meter after Dr. Mirage
In the latest Newsarama interview with the Valiant top brass Punk Mambo was mentioned quite a lot.
I think we could see Jen Van Meter write an ongoing Punk Mambo later in the year if not another Dr. Mirage mini.
This link was posted in another topic but here is it any way:

I hear you. I guess I just loved Bernard's excuisate lines from the initial launch. The whole package just spoke to me. This new telling's vision of art just doesn't draw me in like VH1.leonmallett wrote:I have felt RDLT's style is well suited to Dr. Mirage as it was Shadowman. I loved Bernard Chang's stuff from the original series. Discovering it (much after the fact) was a pleasure.david_albuq wrote:I hear you. Is Jen van Meter related to Cliff van Meter from the original Valiant?

Re: More coming from Jen van Meter after Dr. Mirage
This was asked previously somewhere and I'm not aware of any relation. (I worked with Cliff in my first job out of college for a computer coloring company. And oddly enough, he also lived three houses down from me, even though we worked a good 45-minute drive away.) Cliff is posting in the Facebook group so you could ask him there.depluto wrote:Is Jen van Meter related to Cliff van Meter from the original Valiant?
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Ha! That was me asking before ... my attention span must be fading.
