Just made a binge purchase on Image Comics site to catch me up on Cyber Force, Aphrodite IX, and Revival. So, apparently although Matt Hawkins' new book Wildfire came out, it is not available digitally (not on Image's site or on Comixology) which is odd.

I also downloaded my Humble Bundle purchases of Saga volumes 1 and 2, Fatale volume 1, and Morning Glories volume 1.
Looking forward to reading all of these. I'll let everyone know what I think of Saga, but I'll be very surprised if I change my mind.

Picked up Thor #1 and Captain America #25 today to see the transitions in both titles. Pretty exhausted from work but I was eager to read them tonight so I did. I enjoyed both quite a bit and am intrigued to see where it goes next for both heroes. Missed out on Thor #25 but I have that coming to me in the mail soon. Might have to pick up the next few issues of these.
Black Science. Lazarus. Birthright. Saga. Manifest Destiny. Deadly Class.

Just bought this from mycomicshop, via their website. I sprung for a vf copy, which saved me a few bucks vs a nm one. Total cost was 15.10 including shipping. Looking forward to reading it.

1st printing. "THE SHIELD: AMERICA'S 1ST PATRIOTIC COMIC BOOK HERO!" Collects stories from Pep Comics (1940-1987) #1-5 and Shield-Wizard Comics (1940-1944) #1. Relive the early days of comics' first super-patriot - a hero with great power, strength, and courage who donned the colors of the American flag, lived for democracy, and protected the world from foes of freedom! No, it's not who you think, it's The Shield! Leaping from the pages of Pep Comics #1 in January, 1940, The Shield bested his better-known counterpart by over a year. Softcover, 96 pages, full color. Cover price $12.95.

My "to-read" pile started accumulating in 1998. Eventually the books make their way into my longboxes, but they're still in my virtual "to-read" pile. I'll die without reading everything that I'd like to.

I think it's pretty much a given that everyone will die without having read everything that I would like to read. Unless a solution to mortality is discovered (after I die).

Was able to purchase a complete low grade run of Charlton's Yang by buying from two separate dealers. Also picked up House of Yang complete 1-6 except missing number 3. So, I got 18 low grade books for around 37.00. It's a reading set for my collection.
Yang, baby!!!

Over the holidays I picked up a Conan #1 in around 7.5-8.0 for $200...

I had owned a copy for many years a long time ago but sold it along with a number of other BWS issues of Conan. I'm slowly buying back all the ones I'm missing.

Great book Gren.
I've noticed a upturn in price at dealer booths for this book.
I usually sell a few marvel Conan books every few shows.

Thanks Elveen! I'm really glad to have it back in my collection.

Not 100% sure if that was a great price at that grade as I don't have the newest Overstreet, but I see it has risen quite a bit since I sold the other one. I think a 9.4 was worth $250-$300 back when I got my first copy for $150 back in the mid-nineties, and I see it's closer to $500 at that grade in the Overstreet edition I currently have (the Big Big edition with XO on the cover, from 2012).

In all fairness it's probably more at 7.5 for condition.

Nice to know there is still solid interest in those books. My LCS has a decent copy of #7 that I have my eye on next.

Have been looking for a run of spawn.
Looking last year but not seriously.
Last to monthhs putting feelers out ~ at one point was going to buy 1~150 maybe at a £1 each, maybe £1.50 (hadn't worked out the full deal ~ which I told him, still thinkking ~ but interested)
Then found a full run 1~ 200 with some mini series spin offs ~ worked out about £1.75 on ebay usa at the moment. £400 plus shipping.

Still wanted them under a pound each. Just because I set a target price.

Found 110 issues for £40, scattered from 1 ~ 220. Organising shipping at the moment. Suprised the guy is selling them cheaply, as they are all bagged and boarded since new. He was an occational reader.
Plus it will be fun to hunt down the other issues. Even if I have to pay a £1 each.

This sale made it possable to collect spawn ~ at the higher price I wouldn't bother.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

I am going on someone else' hunch and have 5 copies of the regular cover of FF#642, and one "connecting cover" variant.

$30 investment, hoping to bring in at least 3 times that, but we'll have to wait & see, won't we?
