New York Post ed. Batman 608

Post by slym2none »

I have a few of the NY Post edition Batman 608's that I am willing to part with, if anyone's interested. I'm not sure how much to ask for them, so post/PM/e-mail me with any offers.

I don't know what to tell you about value...
but the print run sounds like it might be "enough".

Hey, that's still one million less than Turok #1.

Oh, I am not looking to get big $ for this. I figure the first print had maybe, MAYBE 150,000 printed, and it's around $15 by "guide," so with a print run 5 times as large, I'd say 1/5 the price would be fair. That's also why I basically said "make me an offer." I know you guys aren't stupid! :D

tcolli, Greg's link to the Newsarama site should answer your question, but feel free to ask anything else. Can't guarantee an answer... :D

Chuck - I'll scan one later tonight and post the link here.

Dangit, it's tonight already!!! I sat down before 6:30 EST, and now it's almost 8:30!!! *sigh*

I finally got around to scanning one - here it is:

Image

It's the same story on the inside, but with DC and Time/Warner owned property ads only, as well as a single subscription card with 5 or 6 DC comics on it to subscribe to. I don't know how it was presented with/in the Post, as I was only sent the comics. All of my copies have slight imperfections, probably from them being mechanically inserted into the paper, but only one was what I will call "bad," and I let my LCS have that one, just so they could see one. (That way, I won't see it stuck up on their wall for $10!)

OK, going price is $2.50 plus the USPS shipping option of your choice. I do ship SECURELY, so no worries there (heavy-duty {double-thick when I can get it} cardboard sandwich, and then bubble-wrap that,) but I have heard horror stories about Media Mail, so unless you want it insured, consider yourself forewarned - although I have shipped plenty of comics myself via Media Mail and have yet to have a problem. *shrug*

Just wanted to say I got one of these and sly2none delivers exactly as promised. I would be suprised if he didn't spend the whole amount on packing as the packaging to get it here safe was excellent!

Thanks for the kind words! All my packages are packed like I'd want my comics to come to me. Thanks again!

I will vouch for Slym as well. He's a cool guy and sells good stuff. I have bought a lot from him and have been very pleased with the goods. Buy from him!

You da man, Slym!

psst! *whispering hoping Slym won't hear*...Slym likes little alliterations like this one.

I will also use this opportunity to shamelessly draw your attention to manowar class' post on the NON-Valiant (even though it has a few) buy/sell/trade thread about reader copies he is looking for...

At this point, I only have my personal copy left. Of course, this isn't a prize in my collection, either.....
