Lordy, this series is just pure gravy. I'm loving this glimpse at the world's reaction to Toyo Harada and his unfolding machinations. This is pretty epic stuff. I just hope it expands to other series. The whole time I'm reading it, I'm thinking "... and Unity is going to stand for this?" I mean, this is post-Armor Hunters... surely they'd be getting involved.

I did like the part where Harada's people were concerned Rising Spirit were going to drop a H.A.R.D. Corps division, or perhaps even Bloodshot, in against them.
Good Morning, that's a nice tnetennba.
The thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in...

I loved this issue other than the fact that Ingrid looks like a hot 20 year old girl..Getting burned seems to have done wonders for her skin..

Great issue .. This is exactly what I was hoping for with this mini.
Its a transitional story ... but its very rewarding in its examination of character and the changing world.

We are seeing the fallout and the consequences of all that has come before and we are entering into this new status quo ... and I'm loving it. We are seeing a huge shift in Harada's character and philosophy ... while Peter seems to be stuck in self destruct mode. I would like to see his character start to shift out of self destruct/reluctant hero mode and into more of embracing the challenge (i'm sure it will come in time and Dysart will have some surprising and interesting things to say with the character)

I like seeing the glimpse into the real world reaction to Psiots and i'm enjoying the idea of Peter being seen as both celebrity and savior. If I were to describe this issue with one word it would be 'Insightful'

Yeah .. the art was strong throughout but this was a mistake that was disappointing and put a small dent into what was a really enjoyable well drawn issue.
Ha! Yeah! Nice! Any of those dudes in your head mosh?! - Flamingo

I thought it had to do with the way Cronus healed her. The way she was drawn by Evans made her seem younger looking than the first time he illustrated her.

an all around great issue. not really a complaint, but I wish they would've showed a little more of Harada turning Somalia into the Foundation Zone, rather than presenting it like a recap. this is a kind of important event and it would it would have seemed more serious, say, if it had been shown happening on a splash page at the end of the previous issue (such as like the destruction of Mexico City in Armor Hunters). the reader would've also naturally allowed for a lot of off-panel developments to occur between issues. but that's just my opinion, doesn't lessen the appeal of this issue for me.

Loved this issue. Loved it. I can't get enough of Josh Dysart's writing. So much insight into Harada, I love reading an issue filled with narration like this :cloud9:

The art is also quite good, although as some have mentioned there is a slight issue with Ingrid looking a tad too 'hot' - she should look younger from the healing she received, but this was perhaps taking that a little too far. Between that and the 'super hero tights' look of the Harbinger uniforms - these are minor quibbles though, I really do like the artwork.

I loved how Peter is being handled - both his attempts at trying to stay hidden by manipulating people but getting busted by technology, & the public perception of him. I thought that the Find Peter iPhone app was a clever touch.

Also loved the various kinds of worldwide reactions to Harada in the open - Dysart spends a great deal of his time paying attention to world politics [follow him on Facebook to see what I mean] & his handling of this story reflects that.

This series only makes me crave more Harbinger, and the sooner the better! I just can't wait to see what Harada, Peter, the Renegades, Gen Zero & the Bleeding Monk all do next. So much great material to work with! I really hope we get a new ongoing series starting in January... :hope:

Grendel pretty much summed up my thoughts. A fantastic issue, so much insight into Harada. Valiant really needs to push the writers to do more inner monologue. I would love to see this treatment on an issue of X-O.

Loved the art. Five pages in I had to flip back to check the art team names. Sandoval and team, great job! :thumb:

I sooo love where this is headed. This is like Marvel's Magneto and Genosha in a way.

I can't wait for the NYCC!

I have a question, does it seem like Harada doesn't have enough psiots? I was under the impression that he had several facilities worth. Or maybe he has different teams handling other objectives around the world.

It's a good question. It's been a while, but at one point he had Psiots defending various HGC facilities around the world after the info leak. Perhaps many are still acting in that capacity because 50 seems like a small number.

Of course, if it's much more than that, then the number of Psiots may be much more across the board than VALIANT may want to get into. We don't need another pre-Decimation Marvel mutant problem.

Well, at least this week wasnt a total bust This issue is what brings me back to VEI, solid writing and plot development Lots of character interaction, and in depth maturation of a storyline Hoping the entire mini is this solid, however, more often then not these days, Valiants stuff starts off the block lightning fast only to sputter across the finish line So far so great for this arc though, enrichening of the Harada character, developing of some future plot lines ( Harada rebuilding, enlisting more psiots, Peter's increasing mental problems, Earth vs Harada conflucts etc)" and some consistent and vibrant art

Loved this issue. In a single issue I felt we were shown a greater sense of the geopolitical impact of Harada's actions than the 18 issues of AH and its tie-ins have managed with that (AH raining destruction on the planet) over 18 issues, the AH: Harbinger stuff excepted.

I love the new Harbinger status quo and hope for another volume of ongoing as soon as possible, and not an endless series of mini series which will fragmentary by definition. No thanks to that.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

This was a master class in writing. What a meaty read. I started reading it before I went to bed, and couldn't finish it. I was only like 9 pages in!
So much going on, and my biggest thing is "this explains why Harada isn't involved in Armor Hunters". He's got his own stuff going on he has to deal with.
What I would like to see is like a tv station covering all this news. Harada out in the public, public knowledge of psiots, decimation of Mexico City, Los Angeles, etc.
What is the public thinking about all of this? That's what this issue makes me think about, it would be an interesting look from the outside, looking in. What do these events inspire others to do? Others with powers?

Loved the Rafa Sandoval art, but same gripes as everyone else, although minor.

AMAZING issue. So so good. Did I mention this was phenomenal? Cause it was phenomenal.

Amazing book. I read it last night and it may be one of my favorite Harby issues to date. The narration by Harada through out is a great character study. My favorite part might be the Find Peter app. I agree that Ingrid looked too young for my liking as well, but the story overall was too good to be too disappointed by that. I really hope we don't need to wait too long for more Harbinger stories after this and that I get to see it announced at NYCC.

LOL I doubt it would get anywhere near that, well no time soon that is. Speaking of psiots, I absolutely loved the way Inner Sea's powers are being defined. Apparently he's doing some Dimensional Phasing and Light Weaving with a boat load of other goodies still left up his sleeve. Plus it was a nice touch having him hooked up to an IV with a doctor on hand. Shows what kind of strain the guy is going through.

Awesome comic being awesome.

To be honest, it really good, and while a lot of my attention was the Armor Hunters arc this summer, Omegas is actually HUGELY awesome and 100% relevant! EVERYTHING in this mini-series is game-changing, and WILL effect things to come.

wow, this was one f a n t a s t i c issue. maybe one if not THE best since the valiant relaunch. in it's epicness and density it reminded me a lot of the original rai#0. so well thought-out, so focused, such emotional depth...

this is just mind-blowing genre fiction and shows the potential of the valiant universe. having a small, agile set of characters within a world where REAL changes occur and showing how those changes affect not only the protagonists but just every inhabvitant of planet earth (the bit about the peter-finding-app was genius)... well, you probably need a writer like dysart to really take advantage of it.
i'm really really happy he's still on board and i think the arrival of a similarly capable fellow writer (lemire) could finally push new valiant towards true excellence.

can't wait for imperium.
