The 99 6 and 7. I could go as high as cover price.Brother J wrote:going to a comic show on Sunday, if all goes well. Which of these do you need and what's your price range?Chiclo wrote:A discrete bump of this checklist just in case one of our DU bretheren ends up with a few of these comics in the next few days.
Otherwise, I included a few AK comics with a lot I sent Knightt recently.

I saw their booth at SDCC 2006 and bought at least one book of each title. I even got a copy of Aya in arabic. I have a handful of international editions as well.ilzuccone wrote:HEY! I used to work for AK comics! didn't think anybody read that stuff. lol
That is cool you worked for AK. I wish they would have published more.

working with them was such a weird/ awesome experience. I worked with Rick Gross the editor and chief at kohl's department store. He got the job at AK and brought me along for the ride.
Ayman Kandeel "AK" put rick me and a guy named tony in one of his old offices (AK had 6 or 7 businesses running at that time.) So AK comics' american office was at the intersection of rodeo blvd and wilshire. the heart of the miracle mile. home of gucci, fendi, dior, verti and.... AK comics.

we spent most of our day trying to fix the comics that were already created in cairo. the other part of the day was dealing with business people that didn't know anything about the comic industry. that booth at sdcc was going to be something similar to what you see at a high end auto show with furniture, hardwood floors, glass paneling, and a second floor

The whole thing was a great experience. Tony and Rick were a blast to work with.
