Anybody finish 1602?

Anybody finish 1602?

Post by Rai-fan »

Just wondering...was it any good?

I read 1 & 2, liked the concept, but thought it didn't really live up to the hype.

Did it get better?

I thought it was a good read and if you can buy the entire set on ebay for $10 then I'd say it's worth the price. Most people loved the series but hated the ending. I kinda liked it because I never saw it coming. :thumb:

1602 was a little lower key than people anticipated. Everyone was expecting something ground breaking but it still was a good read. If anything the books are very pretty to look at.

PM me if your interested in getting missing issues...

Also a followup mini called 1603 is coming out in a few monthes. But I believe that Neil Gaiman isn't involved so I don't know what to expect from that one. :|

Well. Look, it was Neil Gaiman, and I've never read a Neil Gaiman book I didn't thoroughly enjoy...until this.

It was...I dunno, just seemed like a protracted What If...? story.

It was OK...but that's the best I can say about it.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

At the time, I couldn't afford 1602 because I was more interested in Supreme Power & Y: The Last Man.

1602 was solid but the 2 books you mentioned have been better reads if that helps....

If you haven't checked out Fables or Powers I'd recommend both those titles over the 1602 run. And Ultimates....!
