Elveen needs more posts over there... although he is not really the contentious type.

Anyone know anything about Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman in Edge of Spider-Verse? Could this be legit?

Could be a hot for a quick min at the low end, and then maybe more.
If you could get one for cover I think you could flip it for more, peeps like Gwen
I don't have one, but am aware of it. I would like one, or maybe 5.

Lucifer (from Sandman) is getting a nod at production for TV. Seems to be based on the early Sandman story where he first appears, #4.

Wayward #1 from Image seems to be a hard book to find. I've been hearing good things about it. Any of you familiar with this title?

I picked up the first issue and found myself intrigued. I have issues 2-4 on order from dcbs.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
Over on the CGC boards the writer of Enormous has been posting in that thread. Word is that the print numbers are growing with #4 and an additional increase in #5. Note that orders for #4 were the first one after #1 was released, so definitely people are liking what they see. All of the first 3 issues are sold out and going for a premium on eBay. Numbers for 2 & 3 are tiny and long-run could result in higher value. I stopped at Midtown before work on the morning #3 was released and the last copy of one of the two covers was gone before I left. I don't think this is going to be a flash in the pan. Should be strong while the series is being published. (From what I recall, the writer mentioned the run should be about 5 years, or 60 issues. Don't remember which but they're having a hiatus between arcs so the artist has some time to get ahead.)
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Midtown Comics still had them on the shelf on Wednesday. I'll drop by and see if they're still there.Jace wrote:I am indeed looking for one.kjjohanson wrote:Are you looking for one?Jace wrote:Wayward #1 from Image seems to be a hard book to find. Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
I don't know if these older book should be mentioned but because a year ago I was buying them for $20 I have to throw out now should Shazam #28 auctions closing over $400 a book!
I know with the rock attached that makes it a hot property but I never would've thought I'd see his swing like that. The new mutants 98 of course jumping all over the place will have to see what that does for cables first appearance. I tell you what a great time to be a comic collector! LOL

Thread disclaimer:
I realize not all posts made in this thread are breaking news on modern prices, so no one needs to spam this thread by saying I'm late to the party or anyone else is late to the party when posting a price in this thread on a modern book. The intention of this thread isn't to break news on modern prices, but rather to potentially equip members of this community with info to go forth with when making comic purchasing decisions. If a price on a modern book has never been pointed out in this thread before, even if that price is ten years old, it is seen by me as potentially helping members of this community by providing pricing info on said modern book. It's only common sense. Did all the early posts in this thread point out breaking price news on modern comics? Anyone not understanding this and expecting all posts in this thread to be breaking news has a gross ignorance of the purpose of this thread. I would again ask an abandonment of ignorance and spamming by pointing out a price mentioned in this thread might not be breaking news.[/b]
