I don't know about you guys but i've been finding a lot of junk lots of commons with bids...maybe the buyers see the valiant action and think they're getting bargains looking at preunity/variant prices?

The shipping calculator said 6.84 for media.

Misleading. This reminds me of the guy with the buy line, Harbinger #1 and you click on it and it is Harbinger Files #1.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

That is total mis-representation. But, I think you'd have to be a complete moron not to know from the pics... :|

It was actually a topic a while back. I think it's buried somewhere in the ‘everything else’ category.

Think he'll go 10% on an offer :P I'd go $30 or so on the Psi-lords gold but only because I need it.

Yeah, seems like quite a few sellers are trying this approach lately.

I'm not a big '90s Marvel collector so the price might not be bad, but I found it funny that the seller kept stressing "No overstock/Valiant crap," but did put an exclamation point after "Knightfall." Also, I wouldn't make a point of saying I was a teacher with that many typos...

I just sent them this message thru eBay:

"Too bad about there being no Valiants... those guys had some good stuff. Otherwise, I might have been interested."

Yeah, I got my reply today - she SEEMED nice, but still made a point of saying "I said no Valiants because I didn't want anyone to feel like they were getting ripped off."

Can't she see how insulting that is???

Yeah, when I ask a LCS owner if they have any old Valiants laying around they either say they are in the back somewheres and if I give them a list they'll look or that they sold them off in the bargain bins years ago.

Don't you hate when they ask you what you are looking for when you just want to look at what they have and decide for yourself. Some of the LCS guys are out to get every single buck they can and it kills me. If they don't let me look for myself I just tell them to forget it.

What is it with all these sellers that think this issue is worth some money?

It does have a "special" cover and it is a "must have" for any "serious" collector.

And you have to pay for the one of a kind protective sleeve and cardboard backing. He is going the extra mile and then some.

I think this is the third or fourth Turok #1 to be listed in about a month or so at some sort of ridiculous price.

Hmm... it all makes sense now. Thank goodness I have plenty of Turok #1's.
