Completely agreekjjohanson wrote:I think if there was ever to be a universe-wide crossover, Timewalker would have to be the impetus in getting everyone together. Throw in Timewalker and ties to the Far Away and it could lead to a nice crossover with a couple of titles but being primarily driven from Rai/XO.
I wouldn't mind seeing a story in which Rai encounters an X-O armor. Doesn't necessarily have to be the Aric's. Could be left open to different possibilities.

I think Ivar has untapped potential which begs to be used.
As for the crossover thing, one of the things that turned me off Marvel and DC has been the event cycle. VEI have their own annual version of it, but so far has not be a turn-off for me. However if they get to the stage of everything being geared up to feed the events, then I will be concerned.

Same here. That really limits what stories a writer can tell (both during and surrounding the event), and in my opinion leads to less interesting work. I think that's why some of the best stuff right now is coming out of Image. If there wasn't something in me that wants to follow at least one shared universe, Image might be the only books I buy right now.leonmallett wrote:Well said.kjjohanson wrote:I think if there was ever to be a universe-wide crossover, Timewalker would have to be the impetus in getting everyone together. A lot of good suggestions on this thread and some downright funny ones to boot.
What about a VH1 and VEI crossover? They could come together in the lost land. I love the new versions but miss the old ones as well.

Just out of curiosity, would you be happy to see that without the GK3?The Dirt Gang wrote:A lot of good suggestions on this thread and some downright funny ones to boot.

I guess I'd have to be. I actually had thought about that. When I suggested this I was thinking of the new version interacting with there VH1 counterparts.leonmallett wrote:Just out of curiosity, would you be happy to see that without the GK3?The Dirt Gang wrote:A lot of good suggestions on this thread and some downright funny ones to boot.

In my head it would be a bit like the Eternal Warrior arc in the original Unity where the old EW meets the future EW. That still is one of my favorite parts of Unity.

I would love to see Shadowman interact with any and all of the other characters in the Valiant Universe- I would love to see Shadowman in the year 4001 with Rai and the Eternal Emperor.
This is truly a good skin!

It would have been interesting if they had worked into an early issue Phil Seleski successfully shutting down a reactor without consequence.leonmallett wrote:Just out of curiosity, would you be happy to see that without the GK3?The Dirt Gang wrote:A lot of good suggestions on this thread and some downright funny ones to boot.

His sense of place does need to improve, with only Dr. Mirage among other heroes being a part of his portion of the VEI universe so far really

Would have been nice, but would have been a few pages with modern comic book writing styles I guess, and for an in-joke maybe too much.kjjohanson wrote:It would have been interesting if they had worked into an early issue Phil Seleski successfully shutting down a reactor without consequence.leonmallett wrote:Just out of curiosity, would you be happy to see that without the GK3?The Dirt Gang wrote:A lot of good suggestions on this thread and some downright funny ones to boot.

Re: what crossover do you want to see?
How about this: Mitu, the sword of the House of Death (who we thought EW would battle in the 4001 arc), sets up shop in some ancient necropolis ruin in 4001. He battles EW and is vanquished... but since he is death itself he winds up in Deadside. Master Darque sees an opportunity to re-emerge, and working with Mitu as his minion, establishes a portal from Deadside back to Mitu's ruin.gawain36 wrote:I would love to see Shadowman interact with any and all of the other characters in the Valiant Universe- I would love to see Shadowman in the year 4001 with Rai and the Eternal Emperor.
Deadside has no temporal plane, it exists in all times. While in Deadside, Shadowman learns of the new construct from Jaunty. Attempting to chase down some new foe, Jack ventures there and soon realizes that he can emerge from the portal and finds himself in the 4001 time frame.
Adventures ensue, with Jack being able to travel back and forth between the time frames as an ongoing story element, albeit used rarely.
Perhaps in some future arc he works with the Gen Zero kids and Telic manages to establish a method for transporting himself and other Valiant characters to the future via the Deadside portal.
Maybe Telic can carry companions forward to the 4001 time frame, but not back, so that the story element isn't over-used; it's a one-way trip for whoever he carries.

Re: what crossover do you want to see?
Wait, I like this idea so much I'm gonna expand on it:
In some future emergency, Jack discovers that the only one capable of defeating some 4001 nanite based threat is 2014 Bloodshot. He goes back and they convince Telic to transport Bloodshot to the future. There are teary goodbyes and Bloodshot begins the journey with Telic.
Now, nanites are capable of capturing the essence of souls. What is Deadside filled with? Souls.
Bloodshot emerges in 4001 as some super amped-up version of himself, powered with the energy and knowledge of the million souls he captured in transit. He's a monster. His core personality is the "good" Bloodshot we know, but it's in conflict with all the corrupted and Darque tainted souls from Deadside.
An arc of action and internal conflict ultimately ends with a character split, ala Solar and The Destroyer from VH1. "Our" Bloodshot manages to literally tear himself free from the 4001 version.
Another arc, and Ivar appears and whisks "our" Bloodshot back to 2014 via the Faraway. 2014 continuity continues, and 4001 has a monstrous Bloodshot as a conflicted hero / villain... an amalgam of tainted souls tempered by their "memory" of the good Blooshot host.

How about this: instead of Bloodshot being stuck with an internal battle, each soul takes control of an individual nanite, which proceeds to break off from Bloodshot and "infect" a PT, taking control of it. Rai: PV Fighter.jmatt wrote:Wait, I like this idea so much I'm gonna expand on it:

I had thought of something similar, in that if Bloodshot can break away and "morph" out of the Super Bloodshot host, what's to stop other gathered souls from doing the same? I didn't consider the PT angle, that's an interesting idea.kjjohanson wrote:How about this: instead of Bloodshot being stuck with an internal battle, each soul takes control of an individual nanite, which proceeds to break off from Bloodshot and "infect" a PT, taking control of it.
