Just look at that timeline. No wonder. I kept watching it thinking "I should be able to figure this out...".Spylocke wrote:You don't know how relieved I am to read that. I thought I must be fantastically dumb for not getting everything after two viewings. Three viewings should get a person college credit and figuring it out should get someone a genius grant.jmatt wrote:Wow, somebody mapped Primer? What a great movie, even if I couldn't understand everything after three viewings.

How about Chuck Dixon on Bloodshot.
Brian Azzarello on Eternal Warrior.
Jonathan Hickman on Unity.
Nathan Edmondson on either Bloodshot or a H.A.R.D. Corp title.
Rick Remender on Harbinger.

+1 - that would be a great fit, especially considering his work on Lazarus.dornwolf wrote:Greg Ruka on Bloodshot

Another excellent idea, I would love to see this! Good old PAD!Heath wrote:Peter David on Q&W.

I have not read a lot of books by Paul Jenkins, but he wrote one of my hands-down all-time favourite sci-fi robot stories - Construct (Published by Caliber Press). I also liked his run on Incredible Hulk many years ago, brief as it was.ilzuccone wrote:Rick Remender and Paul Jenkins are two of the best at telling a compelling story from beginning to end.
If you haven't yet check out Jenkin's "Deathmatch" this guy knows how to build a believable world.
If Matt Kindt ever leaves RAI, I think Jenkins would be an excellent replacement.

i found out through wikipedia last year that jenkins has had a hand in most of my favorite comics. (wasn't paying attention to who wrote what back in the day)grendeljd wrote:+1 - that would be a great fit, especially considering his work on Lazarus.dornwolf wrote:Greg Ruka on Bloodshot![]()

I just had a look too - I will definitely have to check out his Hellblazer run now - I have only collected up to around #40 of that series.ilzuccone wrote:i found out through wikipedia last year that jenkins has had a hand in most of my favorite comics. Didn't realize he wrote the Wolvie Origins mini either, haven't read that in a long time.

Re: Which writer would you like to see write for VEI?
Thinking on solid writers that are actually kinda missing I'd say:
Steven T. Seagle or Paul Jenkins on Master Darque/Shadowman (altough I am a big fan of Peter Milligan)
John Ostrander on Bloodshot
JM deMateis on Q&W

Just my 2 cents (of an euro)

That's what I'm saying! This guy wrote some of the more rememberable books. I agree with cornflake put him on shadowman.grendeljd wrote:I just had a look too - I will definitely have to check out his Hellblazer run now - I have only collected up to around #40 of that series.ilzuccone wrote:i found out through wikipedia last year that jenkins has had a hand in most of my favorite comics. D'OH! I can't believe I didn't think of Ivan Brandon for Bloodshot, H.A.R.D. Corps or even a Ninjak title. His writing for Men of War and Doc Savage was great. I think he could really get into the soldier/warrior mentality for the above Valiant titles.

Re: Which writer would you like to see write for VEI?
I would love to write Bloodshot...or a HardCorps mini...or Harbinger if Dysart stops writing the characters. Yeah, I know the title is "ending" at issue 25, but it sounds like there are plans for a relaunch after the mini series are over
