Re: RAI #1 - Cover info
The pullbox edition was supposed to be polybagged right ? My LCS only got a couple copies and were not bagged. Would of opened it anyways but was just wondering.

Re: RAI #1 - Cover info
When I got to my LCS, he had pulled a copy of each cover for me. I took one Plus and one regular and put the others back. I dunno, the trade dress just doesn't work for me. I felt like the art was being crowded out by the title and such.

Re: RAI #1 - Cover info
I didn't see any of the regular edition at my store, only the Pullbox Plus (unbagged) and some of the regular Pullboxes (and the incentives and exclusives). Probably was just awaiting the shelf being refilled, but I wonder if the regular cover might have been underordered, as the same art could be found on the Plus.jmatt wrote:When I got to my LCS, he had pulled a copy of each cover for me. Re: RAI #1 - Cover info
Oddly enough, I picked the regular with the same art as the Plus. Not sure why. I think simply because it's the one image I've seen over and over again. And what do we covet, Agent Starling? We cover what we see.kjjohanson wrote:I didn't see any of the regular edition at my store, only the Pullbox Plus (unbagged) and some of the regular Pullboxes (and the incentives and exclusives). I picked up a pullbox plus and a regular, too. And boy, did I agonize over which cover to get.

Re: RAI #1 - Cover info
I passed on the Evans (1:10) cover .. because its one of the few covers i'm not a fan of... but I couldn't pass on the Hairsine (1:20) cover - that is a sweeeet cover. It looks even better than the image here because the cover dress is red and the Rai lettering is white - it really makes the cover pop even more.

VEI has been very generous with fans since the start ... but that fiasco was definitely a black eyeDr Noel wrote:Of course. The first one on ebay will go for $350+ and the second one will go for $25.bygranddesign wrote:Anybody think they'll be a 3D version of that Crain cover ?
Due to that - maybe they won't do the 3D cover for Rai

The first one included a note from VEI that was worth $325.

It shake my head when people pay a premium price for Hastings variants that are still available on their website. You can still nab a Unity #1 for $6 but I've seen them go for moremkb28 wrote:I just bid and won a copy of this variant for $9.99 and now I see I could have just ordered it from their website.bygranddesign wrote:Thanks!

At least I didn't pay more than the website price. I also scooped up a Doc Savage #1 Cards Comics and Collectibles variant cover for the same price and the seller combined the shipping down to $5.00, which was very nice.
