I always wondered if 703chang was someone on the boards???
Yea, wasn't there a board member with chang in his name?

There was also that thread that was started that was tracking eBay names for winners of Valiant issues.
Bernard Chang??

Went to the antique market near me, which actually is more like a flea market at times. A guy was selling comics and had about 9-10 long boxes of stuff from 80-90's all $.50 cents / issue.

I got Shadowman #5, Solar # 45, 48 ,50, 52, 54-58, Original Solar #1, Vintage Magnus #3 and the Hero Illistrated #1 (Dr. Mirage cover). Only charged me $5. :D

He had a bunch of review copies too but a dealer wrote his shop name in pen across the front of them all, ??? :!: so I didn't pick them up.

It's not fair Knightt, you're like a magnet for getting deals on Acclaim books (and you don't even like most of 'em).

No, that's not Bernard. 703chang is a board lurker / rare poster.

A friend of mine bought something from him and she was sick and didn't come in to work for 2 days even though she payed with paypal, he still got a quick payment. She left him NEUTRAL ebay feedback because of his shoddy shipping (which I also had probs with!) and he left her a negative feedback about late payment and crap. One other person left him a neutral and he gave them a negative. I think that is immature, unprofessional and just taking ebay personally. I'd avoid buying from him.

On a happier note, I got some sweet deals this weekend at the Heroes Convention here in Charlotte.

I got the following for the respective prices:

Magnus #0 (solid 9.2-9.4) for $9
Bloodshot 51 (VF/NM)-$7
Bloodshot last stand-NM! $7
Harbinger#6 w/coupon (9.4ish maybe better, just being modest)-$5
Armorines #0 Gold NM! $7

Not a bad deal I thought! I got some good deals in the $1 and $.50 bins too! Couple Unity and Pre-Unity issues from various titles.

I also got almost everything Joe Quesada did for Valiant signed by him. That was free :D

I hate when sellers act childish and can’t take the appropriate remarks regarding the sale. If I see retaliatory neg’s they have given needlessly, I will avoid the seller like the plague.

I had a selller do the same thing to me. In fact that's my only negative is from a sell who I negatived because he was unwilling to answer my emails about his vf comic when the action was for a nm-. The a-hole then turns around and says I didn't pay for the item.

Wait, it gets better. So in response to my negative he says I'm an *SQUEE* and you can't please everyone. Then in his negative to me he claims I never paid for the item. Why would you ship an item someone hasn't paid for? Some ebayers are just immature and stupid.

I think eBay's feedback policy is that if a Seller hasn't left you feedback after 10 days once you've paid then they loose the right. Furthermore, if a Seller doesn't leave feedback for the buyer he is unable to recieve any postive feedback from the buyer. BAM! end of feedback hostage.

Saved from PERMENANT STORAGE!!!

I found these yesterday at a shop near work. They were on their way into storage, possibly never to be seen again, when I walked in and rescued them from captivity :D . After going through around 40 longboxes, I came up with the following:

Goon #1 (Avatar) :thumb:
Cavewoman #3
Eternal Warrior #50
Magnus #64
Shadowman #20, vol.2
Solar #7
Turok #46, #47 :thumb:
X-O #66, #68 :thumb:
Shadowman #s 1-6, vol.3 :thumb:
Shadowman #2, vol.3 (good, bad, ugly variant)
:thumb:
Armorines #1 V.V.S.S.
and the grand FINALE.....................................

Secret Weapons #11 V.V.S.S. x7 (yup 7 frickin copies :o :o :o )

It was a great day for the Valiant rescue project :thumb:
