Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE
I have a question, Warren. Is Valiant going to make an appearance at any show in the south soon? Like say in Atlanta or Nashville? I live in Alabama. I'd LOVE to meet you guys! I've driven to Atlanta and Nashville for conventions.
I'm a huge Valiant fan, ever since I picked up that first Magnus #1 back in 1991, and I love what you guys at VEI have done. I think you've done stuff better than the original pre-Unity Shooter stories, and coming from me, that's saying something, because that was always my standard for the best of Valiant. Kudos to you guys...you seem to really care about the characters, which is something the original VH1 apparently stopped doing, and that's when they went to pot, IMO. As long as you guys care, we will care.
So please, come to the south sometime! This fan would love to see you guys.

Oh, and here's a big one (apologies if someone asked it before):
Do you guys have the rights to use Erica Pierce? Or is she too closely tied to Solar? I notice another company putting out Solar is using Phil Seleski. So that made me wonder about the status of Erica Pierce.

Appreciate the super kind words, man. We head to Charlotte every year, but I realize that's quite a trip from Alabama. I will check in with the convention team and let you know if we've got any plans to head to Atlanta or Nashville.bamaphilosopher wrote:I have a question, Warren. Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE
I have a question: I know there is a lot of shake up going on with the Valiant First thing and Armor Hunters. Am I going to be blown away by what's in store? Is it going to surprise, shock, delight, and infuriate at the same time? Or is it going to be a typical comic event where not much changes?
This is not a loaded question because I'm saying it's not.

Make it Nashville, that's closer to me. I'm in Memphis (crying because my Grizzlies haven't been so great this month).Warren Simons wrote:Appreciate the super kind words, man. Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE
Here's a topic I think most of us have wondered about...
There seems to be near universal agreement amongst the board that there is a discrepancy in the portrayal of Gilad in the Eternal Warrior series vs. how he is portrayed in A&A, X-O, and Unity. In the first EW arc, which we know occurs prior to his appearance in the other titles, he has quit working for the Geomancers, is hell bent on destroying the Earth "God" and seemingly does so as seen in the Eternal Emperor arc. But in the other titles it looks the opposite, he seems very pro-earth, all about working for the Geomancers, and gives the impression that he has never given up his service to the Earth.
It almost reads like the events of the Eternal Warrior series are out of synch with the rest of the Valiant Universe. Was wondering if you could elaborate on that? Are we missing some key info here?

Is there a thread for all conventions that some, or many, of the Valiant team will be appearing ?

On Valiant's site, you can limit the feed to posts that fall into the "Live Event" category (http://valiantuniverse.com/category/live-event/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), but it's not necessarily up to date with all announced events they'll be at (e.g. we know they'll be at NYCC Special Edition but that doesn't show up yet).doodlebird wrote:Is there a thread for all conventions that some, or many, of the Valiant team will be appearing ?

I'm really sorry for how hostile this is gonna sounds, but in reference to Legends of the Geomancer....why has VEI decided they don't want their digital customer's money?
