Ebay: X-O #15 Kotaki (another copy) (Not mine)
http://goo.gl/746h4S
Ending in the afternoon, 4/11. Last time I checked this was the only non-error X-O #15.
Edit: for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the link to work right.
Edit 2: Got it to work. Used a URL shortener.
Edit 3: No I didn't.
If I delete the http://valiantfan.com " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;? before the address in the address bar then it works.
Another copy, same seller.

Checked CGC again. This is one of two non-error slabs. This being 9.4, the other 9.6.

$115.36. Pretty high for a 9.4. The price shows you the rarity of the variant.

This variant was the most difficult for me to find.

Over $125 for a 9.4, and it's not even the error versionBeware Cyclops wrote:Yup. $115.16 + $12.35 shipping.

Wonder what a 9.4 (or higher) of the Eternal Warrior #5 1:50 Mack variant might go for

XO #15 Kotaki error went for what? $350 twice? And both were raw.
Edit: 1 sold for $350, the other $406.99

Yep. Kooky-pantsBeware Cyclops wrote:XO #15 Kotaki error went for what? $350 twice? And both were raw.

I can think of a whooooooole bunch of other key or noteworthy books and/or slabs I'd rather buy for three hunnert and fiddy bucks. The kick in the head for me is the error isn't the cover; it's on the inside of the book. My point on that, at least for us slab snobs, is if you submitted the error variant, you'd never see it (like you would with, say, a Bloodshot #0 PLATINUM).
But, to be fair, the bottom line is: if you GOTTA' have it, you GOTTA' have it, so you'll spend what you have to ta' get it.
I've been there more times than I care to count, believe me

Re: Ebay: X-O #15 Kotaki (another copy) (Not mine)
Do we even know if the number of error versions is different than the number of corrected versions?
If they're the same, the only difference in price would have to be due to the "novelty" of having Quantum & Woody inside an X-O cover.
Otherwise, the difference in price is due to unproven beliefs about print ratios.
If there is something definitive that says the error is lower print, that would be useful.
Magnus #57 error exists in the same quantity as Magnus #57 corrected.
The error has always sold for more due to the "novelty", not the print run.
If it turns out that the corrected version is actually lower print... that would be a very interesting scenario.

Yes. By sheer virtue of the fact you slabbed itBeware Cyclops wrote:Oh but I did slab it, I DID slab it!!!Does that make me a slab slob if I don't mind if the the error doesn't show?

Re: Ebay: X-O #15 Kotaki (another copy) (Not mine)
I asked Dinesh about how many made their way into the wild outside of the copies that were "recalled" or caught in time to be destroyed (or not). Couldn't quite get him to pin down a number.greg wrote:Do we even know if the number of error versions is different than the number of corrected versions?

I'd like to own an error copy of this variant, but wouldn't pay near $350 for it raw or slabbed.

How about $174.65 for 49.9% ownership of a 9.8 slab*?Intrepidxc wrote:I'd like to own an error copy of this variant, but wouldn't pay near $350 for it raw or slabbed.

*Not a real proposition.
