Characters you'd like to see in VEI?

Just looking at some of my old VH1 stuff, and caught sight of REXO, and thought I'd like to see his character reappear. Of course I've also been pining to see Dr. Eclipse rebooted as well. This got me thinking, what characters would you like to see appear in VEI that have yet to make an appearance? (Dr. Silk doesn't count, since he's now in Unity, nor does Dr. Mirage, nor Rai since he'll be appearing shortly)

Dr. Eclipse is at the top of my list. I'd actually like to see a team of villains go up against Unity, like the Doctors Silk and Eclipse, Master Darque, the Immortal Enemy, and Erica Pierce. maybe as a twist call them the Secret Weapons. I just really want to see VEI start mining their villain potential.

next up, Armorines. then members of the Future Force, as I'd really like to see the 4001 AD continuity expand.

Dr. Eclipse and Armorines for me also.

I like the suggestion of a Secret Weapons villain team. A VEI cabal of sorts.

Dr. Eclipse (or maybe Fred Bender because he wasn't crazy), Erica Pierce (and her crazy brother Fred maybe?) but no one else from V1 springs to mind....so maybe some new characters? I mean how long do you want to wait for the next Bleeding Monk?

Well most have mentioned characters that would be great for titles or as villains. But what about supporting characters, Nevilles daughter or maybe sister now since he's been shown to be wayt to young now, or the X-O and Shadowman from Acclaim not as those ID's obviously but as their normal IDs

I want to see more of Alexander Dorian, maybe with some X-O Commando armor on? Or just dealing with Orb industries and handling assassination attempts from other Human looking Vine and their agents. With how the X-O Manowar story line has gone up to now, I don't know how or if we will ever see Aric in control of Orb industries like in the original series. While it was a nice story line seeing the barbarian working as CEO of a major company, I would be okay either way if it eventually does/does not happen.

I re-read that somewhat recently and my general reaction was "WTF? The world doesn't work like that." One does not simply walk into a corporation's headquarters and take over by killing the current leader. I imagine Orb will become relevant in some capacity, but not in the same way as VH1

If I remember right, Aric actually used the X-O armor to hack their computer network and place himself in control of the company in a legal sense. Not totally out of the bounds of belief, but I agree it would be a tougher sell these days. But Alexander is already the boss of Orb industries in the VEI version, and if Aric partnered with him some you could still get some of that 'running Orb' type of stories... when he's not too busy dealing with Armor Hunter invasions and such of course.

I would like to see more of Darpan. This character has a lot of potential being as he was fleshed out thoroughly in Harbinger 0 but we haven't seen him since. Considering he is one of only three psiots born activated, he was built up to have some major importance that as of yet has not been seen. I think he's an interesting character and maybe one of the most potentially powerful psiots in the new Valiant universe.

Actually, he's one of two born activated that we know of. Only him and Peter. Harada admitted to Peter that he didn't get activated till the nuke went off when he was 10ish (but Ingrid and all the others still believe Harada was born activated). For that matter, it may be possible that some horribly painful event happened to both Peter & Darpan either at birth or after (or even before birth?) that may have been enough to activate them. Who knows. Maybe a really traumatic birth that ended up killing Darpan's mom?

As for another character I'd like to see... Peter's dad! Didn't he just drive him nuts and not kill him? Maybe I'm remembering wrong though and he's actually dead. But if he's not, I'd like to see him pop up again someday. Or Peter's mom, or Kris' family. Maybe a mental goodbye if somebody was dying? Faith and Torque and Flamingo are all essentially without family at this point, but it would build on their character to have a reappearance for any that can see family again.

Pete put his dad in a coma, I believe. Said he was a latent psiot and tried to activate him, so that could lead to some stories. His mom and Kris' parents are still out there as well, as you said, and would be nice to see at some point.

Of the major characters we havent seen yet, the Armorines and PsiLords would be at or near the top. Both might need some major reworking, though.

How about the Malev? They could easily show up at some point.

I'd also like to see more of Alexander Dorian, Neville Alcott and Stronghold. All could be brought into Unity as support/members. And what about all those Vine plantings that are still on Earth? Will we ever get a resolution to that?

Who is arguing that Harada was born activated? It has been said quite explicitly in the comics that that is not the case.

Also, the Malevs first appear in Gold Key Magnus. I doubt VEI has that IP.

Yeah, it's too bad about the Malev...they were part of the Russ Manning Magnus series, as the other poster said, so whoever owns the Gold Key properties has the rights to them.

I'm working on some Kindle Worlds stories, where I'm going to try to bring some things back they haven't yet. My first story revamps Erica Pierce and brings her to this new universe. If anyone likes reading the Kindle Worlds, stay tuned.

I hope they like my idea, although I bet they already have something planned in the works for her.

I'm also going to bring back The Visitor, and it's NOT going to be Pete Stanchek (which really, really ticked me off when they did that, I thought it was lame).

The Dr. Eclipse idea is interesting...I always thought of him as more of a Solar villain, but then again, so is Erica Pierce. I might reread his stories and see if there's a cool way I can bring him back in a Kindle Worlds story.

I love that they're doing Kindle Worlds...allows us fans to bring some stories to the table.

interesting that VEI owns some of the best Solar villains but not Solar, and unfortunately, not the best Magnus villains. of course, Acclaim did a take on Dr. Eclipse in an issue of the original Quantum & Woody (#32) that (apparently) had nothing to do with Solar.
