Greg's "Save Me From Myself" Deal Finder...
I've bought quite a few items lately, and so despite continuing to see good deals, I need to reign in my spending.
As a result, I'm going to use this topic to post about good deals that I see on ebay, but can't fit in my current budget.
I'm sure I'll miss some good deals because I don't always check ebay thoroughly, and there can be 15,000+ items in my searches.
Don't rely on me if you already do your own searches... many of you find deals I would never find by searching harder than I do.
In each case, I will post a link to the auction, a brief description, and the starting/current bid that I believe is a good deal.
As the auctions continue, multiple bids could raise the price to a point where it is no longer as good of a deal.
It may be important to take my starting/current price note as my opinion of a "good deal" and only bid higher if you are comfortable.
I apologize in advance if anyone buys one of these auctions and ends up with a book or item in worse condition than the auction stated.
This has happened to me on several occasions, and is one of the risks associated with online auction sites where anyone can be a seller.
I'm a fan of sellers who combine shipping, so if you win one of these auctions, be sure to check the seller's other items because
a second good deal can sometimes be made through combined shipping that might not be as good a deal with full price shipping.
Also, ebay may be calculating the shipping costs associated with my location, so your mileage may vary.
Good luck, everyone.

Re: Greg's "Save Me From Myself" Deal Finder...
While we're talking about good deals here's a warning about bad deals.
Sometimes I buy valiant variants from mycomicshop.com but often I get beat
To them by one of their consignment sellers who will say buy an item for 4.00 and subsequently
Relist it for 40-50 bucks. Someone recently bought an xo 11 1:50 sears
Variant and an archer 5 1:50 in the neighborhood of 40 bucks
They bought the recent archer 0 variant and are selling it for
40 when it's available at midtown 17-21 bucks. They do the same
Thing with other books buy a first poison ivy poor condition
Or hulk 102 cover less for 2.50 relist it for 50. If you want to
Buy from them go to their restock page and type valiant
You will see exactly what they paid. I once put a bloodshot
Variant for 4.49 in my cart within 5 minutes of listing item
Was sold and relisted for 10 times. I don't think this person
Collects valiant. I had the same problem at a LCs where one
Guy kept getting first dibs on stuff I stopped supporting them
And they lost several k in business. Some of these consignment
Sellers abuse the system items are supposed to be worth 50
Or more if they do not eventually crack down on this lone star
Will lose several k of business. Why should I or you have to
Buy books for 10x original price from consignment sellers
Who do nothing but scour the site all day long. I'm just telling
You be warned wait these people out they will eventually
Have to drop the price or stop pillaging the valiant books.
To be fair there are some fair consignment sellers out there
But most do not have the nerve to leave an identity.
Well that's my two cents. They don't get many variants
When new books come out they usually have one of each
Tuesdays. But from time to time they will pick up not perfect
Condition variants I'm guessing from diamond. I'm still holding
Out hope of getting an xo 1:50 kotaki and hArbinger. Wars 1:50
1:50 zircher. Good hunting and be educated when buying from
Consignment sellers on lone star

Re: Greg's "Save Me From Myself" Deal Finder...
Mycomicshop.com today posted a bloodshot 0 variant
For 10 bucks and 2 copies of xo manowar 22 for about 10
They got scooped up. Generally they are listed between 5 and
7 pm eastern time usually after 5:30. I work that time so if it
Doesn't list around my lunch I miss out. I'd rather someone
Who actually collects the stuff gets it rather than the turd
Reseller who has no fricking clue trying to sell *SQUEE* for
40 bucks that's only 17 at midtown. Someone did luck out
On a chaos effect red for a good price a while back but
Generally the prices are way too high from consignment sellers
But if you beat them to it they can be had dirt cheap.

Bloodshot 1 1:20 4.80 mycomicshop.com it's been sitting there
A week consignment sellers only scope out restocks
By the way I got the boot off lone star but I'm researching
And I see many others have had bad expierences and they've been booted
Illegal business practices I suppose I'm going to start a world

That one was $47.95 with shipping.
There's also a $50 with free shipping, and it looks like it's from our own greatbrandino11.

Re: Greg's "Save Me From Myself" Deal Finder...
Let me take that back . . . a copy sold for $318 in Jan http://www.ebay.com/itm/Solar-Man-of-th ... 7675.l2557" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;nycjadie wrote:Whoah! Makes $50 for a grade down a bargain.
There was one asking for $499 min bid but it was unsold in Mar http://www.ebay.com/itm/Solar-Man-of-th ... 2ecf536d7a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Definite rarer than Harbinger 1s coming up for sale. So I don't think Solar 10s trade in a narrow range like the Harby 1

- Especially "dude." And "balls." Those terms work in the tech industry.

Shadowman black in sleeve, not on my list now, but best price I've seen in a long time.
