Sketch cover gallery
Hey all,
With the con season starting up again and the easy availability of blanks I'm very excited to see what's done with these sketch covers and what everybody has. I know a lot of us have sketch covers but I would like to see them all together in one place.
I'll start with mine, Shadowman by Rossmo-

Cheers,
HawK

Re: Sketch cover gallery
So nice, thanks for posting 400. I know there are a lot of these out there and would love to see them all and post more as we get them this con season. Eventually maybe we could make a VEI sketch cover gallery with member and artist, that would be very cool.
I hope with the easy accessibility of the Unity blanks and upcoming Rai blanks we see many more of these, just about every one I've seen has been great and something really special.

I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

Re: Sketch cover gallery
Thanks for starting this thread! I'd been curious to see all the sketch covers acquired by board members in one place. Just wish I had some of my own to post. Keep 'em coming!

Would it be worth my time and money to buy a few blanks and do some artwork on em?

Great idea.
It would be great to see what you can do with more space.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Re: Sketch cover gallery
I just bought a pack of comics on ebay and one variant is a blank Unity Wars Cover so I will test interest with that one. The other Blanks from Valiant are way to expensive to buy just to draw on. So if anyone wants a drawing you'd have to supply the blank variant and paperwork for CCG if you want the comic graded.

Re: Sketch cover gallery
Heh, I have a Punisher and IronMan Sketch variant. I'm seriously thinking of doing Bloodshot on the Punisher cover and X-O on the Ironman one. Heck to think of it I also have a Wolverine Blank I could draw Eternal Warrior on. The characters are basically the same.
Re: Sketch cover gallery
Got this done by Miguel Sepulveda in November. Outdid my expectations considerably.

Mine - Clayton Crain's first ever depiction of the Bleeding Monk (he had never heard of him before I showed him some pictures). This became even cooler after seeing his official VEI cover which is very similar:

Wolverine: Amazing healing factor, screwed up memories about his past. EW isn't the Valiant character that comes to mind.Justice41 wrote:Heh, I have a Punisher and IronMan Sketch variant. He's the longest living Marvel character I can think of next to Apocalypse. Reality is Wolvy is closer to Bloodshot except for the age thing.kjjohanson wrote:Wolverine: Amazing healing factor, screwed up memories about his past. But keep in mind the characters silhouette. Also remember when Wolvy was cast as Death one of Apocalypse Four Horsemen, looked a whole lot like EW.

Re: Sketch cover gallery
To be fair I haven't followed Wolverine in years, so I don't even know what canon is regarding his history any more.Justice41 wrote:He's the longest living Marvel character I can think of next to Apocalypse.
