Super duper excited for Valiant Masters: H.A.R.D. Corps although I'm curious as to why Eternal Warrior wasn't put back on the schedule before this one.
DEFINITELY not complaining though!

Agreed with the Eternal Warrior, but HardCORPS will make for a nice addition to the Master Series.

Yeah that's the price of a deluxe edition. My Shadowman Masters cover price was 25 bucks that's what I would expect Hard Corps to be. Hopefully that price was a mistake.

Got to be a misprint. All the Masters have been $24.99 I believe.

It's either that or they've been taking a blood bath on them and need to crank the price. I thought someone on the board said they weren't selling real well

They've all sold over 500 copies, I believe. Not sure if that's good or bad. Since they're not including any new material anymore, the cost is almost strictly for printing.

Can't see them being the same price as the Deluxe Editions, though, even if they were to up the price. $29.99 would be the max I'd think.

that price can't be right for a 200-page book. otherwise, the price of the hardcovers, which are almost 400 pages, would have increased dramatically.

I'd like to believe that Priest and Bright are going to pick up the regular series and continue it in the original timeline

Here is the line item from the order book

FEB14 1483 VALIANT MASTERS HARD CORPS HC VOL 01 04/16/14 SRP: $39.99

I wonder if they are lining up the price point for all their hardcovers.

I heard confirmation that the $39.99 for the Masters collection is not a misprint. Increased restoration/acquisition costs. The initial collections were initially priced below market standard, according to VEI, and they are now in line with other publishers. I'm still buying it, especially with a sweet preorder price I'm expecting at DCBS.

wow that's really surprising. A&A hard cover is the same price and is 168 pages more and quite frankly much better in every way possible. I still would want to get the Hard Corps Masters at some point but it would have to be at much lower discounted price and after I get a bunch of other books that i want first.

Man...no way would I be paying full price, anyway, but that's a bummer. Especially since it's for HARD Corps...Rai, maybe, or one of the other early VH1 books, but not for HARD Corps.

Did VEI ever say what happened with the Eternal Warrior masters collection?

I have gotten all the hardcovers so far and was extremely disappointed when the my preorder of the EW hardcover was canceled.

I don't think anything was said and I haven't seen it re-solicited. :(

Errr....ouch on the Masters price increase. As it's a title I'm not really super into it now shuffles to the back of my "someday" list. Really hoping for a time walker Masters

Yeah, if thats the norm for the Valiant Masters book cover prices now I'm certain I'll be out of it. Unless they actually recolor it or have solid remastering or extras I can't see myself buying these anymore. Thats too much for reprinted material and I'm assuming theres no effort of restoration going into these and the quality of stock paper. Unless the content increases I just don't see this being good news for us. And what about the Eternal Warrior HC? Is that going to be the same thing and have a price increase all of a sudden since it hasn't come out? Also I'm confused with their earlier HC reprints. Harbinger and X-O HC's have never had any more volumes. I know their original plans for Valiant aren't gonna be executed anymore and they've gone on to success with a relaunch. But no more volumes of reprint material for those 2 old titles? Can't be so hard to put out. Also if those are the numbers for the orders/sales for these Valiant Master books at 500+ copies, is that good or bad for the line or for us?
