Did anyone else see this? I know they are most likely yanking our chains, but the suspense is killing me:
dinesh_s: "Spectacular. Holy *SQUEE*!" - most common response to the cover to Rai #1
Alejandrobot: @dinesh_s Hey man we haven't announced that yet
dinesh_s: @Alejandrobot kinda did. In the back of Unity #1. Which is an awesome book #ShamelessPlugBetweenTwoEmployees
Alejandrobot: @dinesh_s Yeah but remember in the office you and I agreed we didn't actually say it was a solo title or what so we shouldn't tweet about it
dinesh_s: @Alejandrobot Yeah but that was back when it was a solo book! Now that its a team book all bets are off
Alejandrobot: I guess I can tweet about freaking Rai #1 now that @dinesh_s let that slip, hey #spoiler guess what, it's damn awesome. #Rai

I'm wiggling with anticipation here. Hopefully they have a better name than Future Force though. I always hated that title.
I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

Both are pretty ugh!The Dirt Gang wrote:Is Future Force any worse than Armor Hunters?
I'm looking forward to finding out more.

I like Armor Hunters as a descriptor of an event, but as a team-name it is horrible.

VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

Re: Recent RAI tweets
This conversation reminds me of something that happened to me at Baltimore Comic con in 2012. Dino really wanted to show me the Shadowman Black book, but as he was trying to take it out Atom! was like "What are you doing, no one is suppose to know about that" and wouldn’t let him show me. I think it was a fun little thing they did to help show their excitement of the preview book and to get me excited about it. Same deal here, Dino want us to know how awesome this Rai cover is but somewhere they weren't ready for an official announcement about Rai regardless of the back of Unity #1.

Being a total Newb to Valiant .....What is the backstory on Rai? What is different from him and Ninjak? I don't know much about Ninjak either, just what I have seen in Unity.

We'll see what they make this time.coachjamie wrote:Being a total Newb to Valiant .....What is the backstory on Rai? What is different from him and Ninjak? I don't know much about Ninjak either, just what I have seen in Unity.
In old Valiant Rai was a champion of Japan, imbued with mechanical energy that he could manipulate by the sentinent AI that run Japan. The title was inherited from father to son. After the last Rai was killed in Unity, a Harbinger using Bloodshot's nanites take over the name.

Along with that, it took place in the year 4001.magnusr wrote:We'll see what they make this time.coachjamie wrote:Being a total Newb to Valiant .....What is the backstory on Rai? What is different from him and Ninjak? I don't know much about Ninjak either, just what I have seen in Unity.

I'm sure they play it up somewhat for laughs, but in all of my dealings with Dino, he truly seems like a kid with a secret he can't wait to tell someone - 24/7/365.Magnus9178 wrote:This conversation reminds me of something that happened to me at Baltimore Comic con in 2012. I think that's why he lets everyone in on little things every once in a while when he thinks he can trust them. He's definitely a fan first kind of executive. He is truly excited to share this stuff. I love it! If only every CEO was this excited about their company's product we would live in a much better world.

You might be correct, last night on facebook they posted the old Frank Miller Rai cover so they may have just been talking about the original Rai #1 in the tweetsBugsySig wrote:There actually was nothing in those tweets to suggest they weren't talking about that cover.
