I'm embarassed to say that I had the Tennessee D and dropped it for a third kicker.

I got in a hurry and picked up a kicker and dropped the last slot on my roster (thinking it was a kicker)... dropped the Tennessee D.

Thankfully, I don't think I'll need a good defense to win this week, but it could be fun to watch tonight anyway. :thumb:
We played them which actually was a wise choice as other D was Chicago who did even worse.

3 Kickers awesome

Who am I kidding, you're "kicking" everybody's butt :(

Until the playoffs. I've got a feeling that a lot of my best players will be sitting out their games at the end of the regular season.
The fantasy playoffs will probably be decided by who has the most players on teams still trying to make the actual playoffs.

We also had Jamaal Charles on a bye this week, which hurt...but, yes, to be screwed over by the Jaguars of all teams facepalm

At least I can live with this loss. The last two were by a combined 8 pts...literally the difference in playing one defense/kicker over another in each...that blows.

I really need Aaron Rodgers to come back this week so he can give a fantasy boost to Nelson and Boykin :hope:

Rumor is they might shut him down for the year...Meanwhile, we are hoping Cutler comes back ASAP so we can stop relying on a rookie QB and the lesser Manning brother facepalm

I had a nice bounce back week and should lock up 5th place ..

9-5 record ...and probably will end up with the 5th highest point total - not too shabby 8-)

Yes Eli sucked again, A+ for consistency.

I saw that 1% also took Brown (NYG) and I had to laugh a little, we were saddled with that dude for most of season and he under performed on a regular basis.

This was a cursed season for the Giants, likely deserved.

I've got a strong lead in the other matchup. If I can hold on I get the honor of getting my butt kicked next week by Bugsy in the final game. His team is on an absolute tear.

Not sure you're remembering that right. Brown (NYG) was injured, so he didn't play at all.
I guess you could say "under performed" for "did not play", but they're not the same thing.
If he under performed, you wasted a slot in the lineup.
If he just didn't play, you put him on the bench, but didn't waste a slot.

Once he started playing (Weeks 10-13), he performed well for me.
He's part of the reason I won 10 in a row, my other RBs didn't do as well.

No version of my lineup could have possibly won this week... Any team with Jamaal Charles was unbeatable.

I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with the "regular season" trophy for this year. :D

Go ahead and win the playoffs... maybe Jamaal Charles will have 10 touchdowns next week instead of the puny 5 he put up this week. :P

He was thinking of David Wilson. We had him the first part of the season.

I faced Jamaal Charles in another league and almost pulled out the victory. I lost 158-155.5...If Charles had 4 TDs instead of 5, I could have won. I won the regular season, had the most points scored and scored more this week than any other team except the one I played. Now I can't finish higher than 3rd...

Yeah, Andre Brown was very good when he started playing. I drafted him .. but when he got hurt in the final pre-season game I ended up dropping him because I needed the bench spot. I really wanted to pick him back up before he came back but 1% (Greg) beat me to it.

I think Hawkeye might be confusing him with David Wilson who was healthy to start the year but just did not perform well when given the chance ... and eventually got hurt also.

Yes you guys are right, I just remember having a NYG RB who was supposed to be all that and did absolutely nothing.

The one game where he finally started performing he got injured right away and was out.

We were pretty big on the Giants and they never really did anything for us.

Sorry for the error, I'm Canadian Eh? :?

I'm in the same boat in my other yahoo fantasy football league

I was leading all year long in first place

and i just got my butt kicked in the playoffs this week

Such is life in the cruel high stakes world of fantasy football in the playoffs ... one bad Sunday ... and you're done

This is why I like Fantasy Baseball more ... still a lot of luck involved especially when it gets to the playoffs in head to head leagues .. but a little more control and strategy involved. You can bounce back from a bad day (even a couple of bad days) to win.

We are doing the Valiant Fantasy Football League this year and I wanted to give the Valiant Fans first dibs on joining in with Warren and I (and some other Valiant staffers) in the fun!

Just like last year all you need is a fun Valiant-esq team name and to give us your email address.
Right now we are looking for 10 players to round out the 2013 league.
There will be a super awesome (but for now, secret) prize pack for the champion of the league.

Would you mind posting on the boards for any interested parties to leave their email addresses below the post and I will collect the first 10 who post and send out invites?

Invites will contain draft info, etc. Serious players only, no half season quitters.

Should be a ton of fun!
