I found it interesting that Unity Vol. 1 was priced at $14.99 instead of the normal $9.99 for Vol. 1s.
Alone, listless, breakfast table in an otherwise empty room.

Among all the great solicits ... the classified solicit for XO is probably the most intriguing :hm:

I like the fact that there is a NEW villain for Shadowman to face off against - he looks pretty cool :thumb:

And what can you say about Clayton Crain...? The guy is just a master artist :cloud9:

Well, there should be, considering that every issue has multiple covers, and it seems Unity is going to beginning arcs with multiple Pullbox covers.

I know it sucks for collectors, but whatever helps the books sell is what VEI has to do.

That cover makes my Crain commissioned Harbinger Wars cover even more awesome as he had never even heard of the Bleeding Monk when I asked him to do mine!

Wow .. that's pretty surprising considering he did a lot pages on the Harbinger Wars :o

But he is probably just focused on the covers and pages VEI asks him to do .. and doesn't really pay attention to the rest of the story.

I actually thought he done some Bleeding Monk art in that issue, but I went through the book the night before the con. I noticed that he only did the first few pages that comprised the flashback with Telic, Cronos, etc.

When I asked for the Bleeding Monk, he thought I said the Bleeding Lung.

LOL .. thats too funny

You would have truly had a one of a kind solicit if he just drew a bleeding lung :D

I want to support Valiant

And I love those covers ... I think all of them are pretty sweeet

But multiple pullbox covers for the beginning of an arc is too much for me after spending all the money I spent on Unity #1 - I'm probably just going to get the Crain and Mico covers

If i can get the other ones for a dollar a month or 2 from now - i'll do that.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they made #5 returnable as well. If that's the case, you should be able to get all the covers cheap.

I really wish I could own that Crain cover. Too bad he only does digital art (except for his con commissions). It really does look like my cover with more polish.

It seems like Valiant is dropping the $9.99 price point. Quantum and Woody Vol. 2 is also only 4 issues and is priced at $14.99 as well.

I believe all the subsequent volumes after the first have been $14.99.

Thats why I'm just getting the Deluxe Editions. When you can get those online for $27...can't beat it.

I thought the same at first, but I am still gonna get the trades as I don't think I could bring myself to loan out the beautiful hardcovers to friends like I do the trades. I would freak if they were damaged in any way. The trades... not so much

it's a pretty big month, yet i'm a little underwhelmed because most of it (Dr. Silk, Mission Improbable, the #0's) was already spoiled. the last surprise is X-O I guess.

The cover does suggest that he's going to take up the offer for asylum in the U.S. I imagine that that will tie into whatever Armor Hunters is, and countries compete for the tech salvage of the destroyed Vine fleet, leading eventually to whatever VEI is going to do with the Armorines IP.

Can you imagine the mess the Bleeding Monk would make if he visited your house?! Just think if you had him over to watch a game or something. You would have to put down plastic and run the Bissell Spot Cleaner everywhere he goes!

Seriously, that is some sweet artwork! :)
