Whoa, was that a newly-listed BIN that was plugged? I think we need to keep this one out of this census, and I'm quite sure the seller is a member here.

Group items almost never go high as being sold individually....

You're right, he's a member. Here's a thread where he talked about his collection. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35765" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Didn't this member also lost a different and very expensive batch of slabs on eBay several months ago that was discussed on the board?

It'll be interesting to see what this one closes at.

Interesting to see how much it ends up selling for.

Also this Bob Layton SS below was listed recently. $1,500 is a lot considering the Jim Shooter/JayJay double-signed SS sold for $1,100 to Dirtbagsailor.

$325 + $10 shipping was the final on this.

It will be interesting to track the Layton SS and see where it goes. I'm surprised to see it up for BIN right now actually. I want to find a convention where Lapham AND Layton are in attendance so I can add their sigs to my Shooter/JayJay SS for a Quadruple-Signed Book.

I'm moving to the Middle East for a few years though, so it might take a while...

I may have to buy another one of these if I can swing it. Someone once told me to buy low.

I would seriously not risk it unless you don't care about the grade or value. I think you have a very high likelyhood of losing the grade just by having it handled for

I would seriously not risk it if you value the grade at all. There is a very high probabilty of it not coming back at a 9.8 again. You'd be better off buying another 9.8 to be signed than risking the value of that one by it being handled by 4-5+ more people in the signing and regrade process.

Sound enough advice, I might do just that then. :hm:

The price was lowered on this one and then it was ended early by the seller under the item no longer available option. Not quite sure why the price would be lowered before ending it like that.

The copy where the seller claims it's unpressed and prices it 400 % higher than the other copies on eBay is showing back up on my searches. It's strange it didn't show up for me for awhile, in that it has 26 watchers, and I don't see how he could've taken it down then put it back up and gotten so many watchers so fast. This will likely remain a mystery to me.

Just ended at 300.00 even. Shipping was free, too. Perhaps Aram was correct in predicting this book would sell in the 200s.

There's also one on the CGC boards that's going unsold at $350 shipped.

Group items almost never go high as being sold individually....

Not to derail this topic, but what does someone think a cgc 9.8 pre-unity would sell for?

Has anyone paid attention to seasonal sales of this book? Do we see an increase in sales or price during Christmas and/or tax season?
