I know taking money away from the monthly titles and putting it towards the HCs, may greatly effect the sustainability for the monthlies, and that is the sad part, but I have to look out for my financials first, and I will always buy the HC for ease of accessibility, sturdiness of product and how beautiful it looks on the bookshelf.
:?

I only hope the sales of the HC will more than makeup for people like me that stop buying the monthlies.

Of course if the sales of the HARBINGER HC are too low, and thus eliminate the chance of a BLOODSHOT HC, I will be back. I hope not too late.
:(
This doesn't make sense.

So before the HC were released you were buying monthlies and were perfectly OK with them, but since they printed a HC reprinting old material you are going to refuse to buy new monthlies?

It is so irrational its funny and sad all at once. Congrats i guess.
I thought he was referring to the new X-O HC.

Not sure why, but okay, I will clarify

Kinda. But more factual would be this ... that before the announcement (or at least my first sight of the announcement) that Valiant was printing Deluxe Hardcover additions of their new, Valiant Entertainment titles (or at least HARBINGER) I was indeed "OK" with buying the monthlies. However, now that I know there is indeed precedence for Valiant printing Deluxe Hardcovers, my PREFERRED buying format, I will no longer buy the monthlies and instead wait to read the issues in the format I desire. A format that is more easily read and displayed ... to me at least.

I also stated in my post - "I hate buying multiple versions of comics" - meaning I am not going to buy BOTH the floppies AND the Deluxe Hardcovers.

Really not sure what part you are confused on.

Okay, as I am taking the high road here and not going to be an *SQUEE* ... I will just walk away shaking my head.

Peace.

I hope so. I stopped reading SHADOWMAN at issue 6 or so. Would love to see a Deluxe HC of the first 12 to 14 issues. Might enjoy it more in a back to back read.

The deluxe HC will probably stop me from getting some of the 5 issue trades

But I need to get the floppies .. I can't go a whole year without knowing what's going to happen in the next issue of Harbinger and A&A ... That would take much more discipline than I'm capable of :!:

If I needed the money to get the Harbinger HC - I'd sell a lot of the floppies on Ebay if I had to.
Ha! Yeah! Nice! Any of those dudes in your head mosh?! - Flamingo

Yes, it is not an easy transition. I started "waiting on the Hardcover" with WALKING DEAD. Was rough for a year, but man, when the books come out, and you can read 12 or 13 issues in a row ... its bliss.

Then, the wait returns ... :|

But once you get about 11 or so titles under your belt, buying on HC's, you only have to wait about a month between each title (if you get lucky and the schedule hits right) and it makes it so much easier.
