November brings 29 covers for 8 books, plus 1 TPB and 2 HCs!
The chase is on for some, and will/has ended for others.

I'm not overally excited baout all the covers, but the stories all sound good!
I wonder if any of the writers for Shadowman will be permanent?

Re: November solicitations
I don't think so. If you read the synopsis, it's three separate stories, so they must be split up over three separate creative teams. Can't see that being a permanent solution.FormerReader wrote:I'm not overally excited baout all the covers, but the stories all sound good!

No I mean will any of these teams remain? Is this so Valiant can determine who is best for the book based on fan reaction?tchalla8 wrote:I don't think so. An audition for the fans wouldn't work as they next issues would have to be pretty close to done before this one hit the stands. It may have been an editorial audition to see who VEI thought could do the best job.

Re: November solicitations
It looks like they may be powering down Bloodshot's healing abilities a little?
Just speculation on my part.
If so, I don't know if it'll be just for this story or if it's permanent.
It is kinda crazy how powerful his healing factor is.

Re: November solicitations
1. All the covers shown here look amazing.
2. Lee Garbett is on the next Q&W arc. I know there was some talk of Fowler only doing the first arc, but I hope he returns. Nothing against LG, who has been Mr. Fill-in-extraordinaire for VEI, but Fowler is perfect for the book and could really make this a special book in the industry.
3. The Eternal Warrior book sounds amazing. I want to read it now.
4. Man, those Harbinger solicits are cryptic! The covers make it seem that the Bleeding Monk is behind the "Perfect Day" but we shall see.
5. So the Harby Deluxe HC will have #0-14...that's awesome! Can't wait to have these on my shelf!
6. I like the short story anthology to fill Shadowman's book for a month, but it means VEI must really be in a crunch with the creative on the book. That will be 3 straight "stand alone" issues: #10 based on what was likely the original Shadowman #0 script, #11 the Halloween issue by Jim Zub, now this. Hopefully one of these writers pitched something editorial liked and they will continue on the book and right this sinking ship.
7. I definitely want that Luge Variant in time for the snowy season...can't wait to sled down the neighborhood hill on my XO Luge Variant

About #4, I was thinking that as well. Also, it's interesting who are the only Renegades on the cover considering what happened in 15. I sure hope its not as bad as I thinkBugsySig wrote:1. All the covers shown here look amazing.

Rai is finally getting the "Valiant Masters" treatment.
Is this a sign that we might get a Rai book soon?

Re: November solicitations
Sadly, what I have been wishing for has become reality. Deluxe HC editions of the current Valiant. What that means for me is getting the books I love, in a format that I prefer to own. The sad part is I am now dropping my Valiant books. I hate to do it. I do. Honestly. But I hate buying multiple versions of comics.
I know taking money away from the monthly titles and putting it towards the HCs, may greatly effect the sustainability for the monthlies, and that is the sad part, but I have to look out for my financials first, and I will always buy the HC for ease of accessibility, sturdiness of product and how beautiful it looks on the bookshelf.

I only hope the sales of the HC will more than makeup for people like me that stop buying the monthlies.
Of course if the sales of the HARBINGER HC are too low, and thus eliminate the chance of a BLOODSHOT HC, I will be back. I hope not too late.

Re: November solicitations
I buy my comics digitally, so I like the HCs to have the actual physical copy. I also hope they continue. I think we will get the first volume HCs for each of the books at minimum.Perry wrote:Sadly, what I have been wishing for has become reality. Deluxe HC editions of the current Valiant. So before the HC were released you were buying monthlies and were perfectly OK with them, but since they printed a HC reprinting old material you are going to refuse to buy new monthlies?
It is so irrational its funny and sad all at once. Congrats i guess.

Re: November solicitations
I totally understand this move. I pretty much only read digitally. I buy monthlies because I am a collector as well as a reader. I read the digital and collect the monthlies. I'll be doing what he's doing with Revival. I really like HC collections but since I have so many issues of the VEI books, I'll just stick with floppies.SJS4 wrote:This doesn't make sense.Perry wrote:Sadly, what I have been wishing for has become reality.
