cool thanks for posting !

new Zircher art! I haven't seen this one yet -- will it be a cover to the first BS and HC #14?

Maybe a 1:20 variant ?

Great interview :) can't wait but I hope they don't rotate the hard corps so much that some of them are one dimensional

CG: They are a unit of normal humans who have implants in their brains that allow them to “download” a variety of superhuman powers, though they can’t use more than one at a time. But since their bodies aren’t made to accommodate these abilities, there is a cost to using them. Time is not kind to members of H.A.R.D. Corps…but not to worry, they’re unlikely to live that long.
interesting answer here from Cristos

The cost of having these abilities zap into your brain so many times ... might be the loss of good judgement, empathy ... and basically your own humanity.

It would explain why the HARD Corp team in Harbinger Wars were so unhinged and brutal

Yeah good point. Maybe prolonged use makes them apathetic, the type of disconnection with one's humanity that PRS aims for with their subjects. PRS are a bunch of dehumanizing a-holes, that much is for sure. And like you said we've already seen how carelessly brutal HARD Corps was in Wars, was does make us wonder as to the effects of software in their brain.

Well I, for one, am excited about Bloodshot again. With Cristos talking about themes and smart action it makes me think of Duane's first two arcs, which were just splendid. That and zero issue have me pumped for Bloodshot's future. Lets get this title back to exploring big ideas like it was before Wars.

Agreed. Really excited for issue Zero and about the new direction .. And getting back to interesting themes in regards to identity and the costs of war - in that respect, Hard corps and Bloodshot really do pair well together.

really sad to see duane off the title. can't help but feel that "the sound" of the book will change, at least the preview hints in that direction. feels a lot more conventional... but it's only a few pages, so we'll have to see.
i think no book has benefited more from the reboot than bloodshot. what used to be a blatant punisher/cable/bad guy with a machine-gun stand-in has turned into one of the most intelligent and engaging AND original action-comics i've ever read.
i do hope, gage & company will be able to carry on this fantastic direction. the interview hints, that he'll do - at least try to - , but the preview, especially the dialogue parts, read like a tread-of-the-mill dc comic or something...

I've read that preview scene a couple of times and I think it's a very well written back and forth between Harada and Bloodshot that doubles as a nice synopsis of the past few issues and what makes bloodshot tick.

Bloodshot speaks the way I imagine he should - forceful, hard edged .. And intelligent

And how could you not love hearing Bloodshot calling Harada out for the "gut punch" and calling him a "pretentious *SQUEE*" 8-)

Dysart and Gage have mentioned a new female member of HARDCorps called Lioness who is a single mother. I'm kind of assuming that's her... and hoping she favours Animalia's power, but being an adult, brings realism to it. Cool way to have two highly versatile characters that have the same power with different expressions. Except, you know, one is also able to switch powers and is a soldier.

This book looks LEAGUES better than Bloodshot was/has been. The first two arcs read well as one, but not amazing. Kind of really drawn out and very strange pacing decisions, like when Bloodshot suddenly was with Kuretich getting ready to storm the base. That irked me a bit. :P

But I hope Kara and her brother figure into this new setup eventually... it makes too much damn sense! Also, maybe Hive could pop up here? He has more than ample motive and means to be the enemy of PRS, HARDCorps and Bloodshot...
