Good on-line Comic store

Post by Jace »

OK so here's the deal. I buy most of my stuff digitally, but every once in awhile I want an actual physical copy of something. The comic stores in my area suck ... well really there is only one. The guy that owns it is kinda burnt out, he doesn't even offer savers. Soooo I am looking for good suggestion of places on-line to get stuff. Mainly what I want is a book that came out last week called Skyward from Action Lab. I had my son check out some shops in Las Vegas but they didn't have any either. Mile High has copies but they want $4.99 plus shipping. I was hoping for a bit better price than that. Anyway thanks for the help guys. Can't wait for UNITY!!!!

Check out comicsandcards.net

It is the site for Paradise comics. Ed (paradise) here on the forms is a HUGE valiant fan and supporter and owns the 2 stores. They do subs, and since you are in CA as well, shipping shouldn't be much.

I have bought a BIG order of VH1 valiant off him and was very pleased with everything. I will soon be getting my subs via him too (once my LCS tells me what issues are coming before I canceled) :!:
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?

I use them frequently, not for their subscriptions but for back issues. Every experience is great so it might be worth checking out their subscription services.

I'm going to have to strongly disagree. I used mycomicshop/lonestar to fill in some gaps in my VH1 collection. About half were overgraded, most were overpriced, and their supposed "free" return shipping wasn't free. AVOID!
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

I ended up ordering 5 copies of Skyward 1 from Mile High at $4.99 a piece. Not a terrible price, but not a great deal or anything either. They only had 4 left in stock by the time they processed my order though, so oh well. 4 is better than none.

One a similar note, where's a good place to buy graphic novels/tpbs on the cheap? I know someone posted a good website in another thread but now I can't find it.

 That indeed is a good place but I thought there was another site that specialized in trades that might have been even cheaper.
