Good thinking, I could definitely see her and Isaiah together!BugsySig wrote: One of the upcoming issues focuses on the cartoon animal girl (sorry I cant recall her name)...She also fought the fighter jets and we do not see her at the end of HW#4 being taken by Harada. Perhaps she, Faith and even Little Castle/Isaiah are together somewhere...the B-Squad!
I thought it was cool that they showed Faith suddenly attacking the renegades, that's the last thing you'd expect from her. I was hoping a bit that she had figured out that Bloodshot was not their enemy, but instead Clem had her under mind control.

Re: Harbinger Wars #4 Discussion
Any one else notice when Harada confronts the Zygot twins he says-"Ion, take them. Let's clean this mess up and get out of here as soon as possible".
It's clearly Stronghold floating there next to him and he says "Yes, Sir".
Okay here it comes...Harada made Ion appear as Stronghold in order to throw off the other combatants particularly HARD Corps who would likely be aware of Ion and Stronghold and making one appear as the other would throw off their game plan.
Sigh...No prize please

I'm glad everyone liked it, but it didn't do much for me. However, I should probably disclaim that with the fact that events like this never really get me excited. The only recent events I've enjoyed are spider island and atlantis attacks. Something like planet deth is more up my alley.
The fight scenes were good if that is your thing. I definitely need to go back and read the whole thing as I'm sure i will get more out of it that way..

Just got caught up with my books for the past two weeks. This was an awesome book and a great conclusion to the crossover. Interested to see the fallout in the other books.
Hate the Zygos twins. Hate. Plus, how dumb is their "power"? Not much utility with that ability.
I think "witch tunnels" could be nothing other than the Deadside.

Re: Harbinger Wars #4 Discussion
Actually it would either be a colorist mistake, or lettering mistake, but either way it comes down to editorial, who has to catch those things. Of course, considering the sheer number of characters involved in Harbinger Wars, and in this issue alone, one minor mistake isn't bad.CallMeBloodshot wrote:I noticed this too! Great issue!
HW is easily one of the best crossovers I have read recently.
I wonder about Faith's faith. She just started developing new uses for her power. It would be a shame if she died because it looked pretty interesting.

IMO For that reason alone, there's no chance that she's dead. Faith will be back!

Why's everyone hating the Zygos twins? There was that cute little emotional reunion they had at they end. And there relationship was a good tool to transition back and forth between groups. It added fluidity to the story if nothing else. Unibrows ftw!

Just wanted to say that this was one of the best books VEI has put out since it's inception. I read most of the comic with my mouth opened. Brutal stuff. So many great storylines opening, it's incredible.
Plus, I thought I had seen everything in comics, but I never imagined anyone being thrown into the jaws of a dino-type horned monster, that is the product of a kid's imagination. That was simply hilarious.

Great job by Dysart not to let the sheer amount of new characters weigh this down. Everyone got their time to shine and all had their own unique personalities. Sounds simple but that can actually be quite tricky to pull off and get the right balance for. I give an A all around for the work on this crossover. The inception of it didn't feel rushed and came about naturally, the execution and high tense action was top notch, and the fallout from this (though mostly still remains to be seen) seems to have huge effects carrying over into both titles involved and for the VU in general. Those are the things that really matter for a crossover and Valiant did quite a job.

I re-read HW #1-#4 - this mini series is great and I hope Valiant revisit the HW theme every so often. You get the feeling there are going to be many more Harbinger Wars with how the universe is coming together.CallMeBloodshot wrote:I noticed this too! In terms of the Stronghold / Ion issue - I actually thought I had it wrong until I went back to their first appearance (and in Bloodshoot). So to confirm, Ion is in the baby blue costume, Stronghold is in the brown costume, despite Harada calling Stronghold Ion during HW #4.
The book has been great quality throughout - I would've thought this oversight would've been easy to spot from editorial though...oh well. I'll keep reading (and re-reading) with Stronghold in mind when when Harada calls him Ion in print during HW #4.

I don't think she is gonna die ... but I also wouldn't put too much stock in the covers. They are made so far in advance of the story + joe irons is on one of the covers and we know he's dead

What a great issue! I can't wait for the Harbinger and Bloodshot issue. I couldn't believe all the people who got killed in this issue. Although, I do believe PRS could have a way to "patch" the HC guys and put them back in the field. I'm really looking forward to BS & HC.
Love the Generation Zero kids! Cronus is a great character, I love the girl who turns into Cartoon animals and I'm really looking forward to seeing the Zygos twins in the future.
Clayton Henry's art was fantastic. I loved the panel of the Zygos twins reuniting with the two monsters in the background. Although it was begging to be a bigger panel. Might be one of my favorite panel's in any VEI book thus far. It felt kind of epic even as such a small panel.
Such a great job all around. Dysart is killing it and I'm look really jazzed about the future of Harbinger and what he brings to Bloodshot.

I REALLY hope VEI keeps Clayton Henry on a book, or atleast on their mini series. He's my pick to illustrate UNITY (with alternative covers by Barry Windsor Smith

Re: Harbinger Wars #4 Discussion
I thought this was a good series if you had the time to reread it a couple of times. Like Nuke Laloosh it was sorta all over the place. But it brought some great characters into the universe and showed what a cold badass Harada really is.
But if Pete is the heavy hitter that Harbinger hints at, he sure does get his *SQUEE* kicked a lot.

Re: Harbinger Wars #4 Discussion
A terrific brutal ending to this event.
I am so glad Cronus survived as well. He has the capacity to become a major player in this corner of the Valiant Universe. His greeting to Harada gave me chills.
I was also intrigued by Bloodshot's fight with Peter, his comments about how Peter lacks the focus, the will and the stomach for war. I'm not totally caught up on Harbinger yet but given what I've seen so far about Bleeding Monk's vision of Peter becoming the Great Destroyer, this seems like a stepping stone on that path. It'll be interesting to see how Peter responds to this.
I'm glad that Shakespeare and Hammerhead got their just desserts. Shooting a little girl, point blank, man, that's just cold and disturbing. How they met their fates was also very clever and inventive. I'm also looking forward to more of Palmer. He just seemed so worn out by all this.
This is what an event should do, set your Universe on a new daring creative course.
