I always thought the squeaky wheel got the grease when it came to Gilad's kids. We never heard about his normal kids because they were normal. Kind of like you don't read about your neighbor until the police start digging up his yard.

Wow, that sounds cool and different. Other than feeling responsibility for his children's deeds, how did he feel about killing them? If he had so many kids throughout history, could he have known about them all or had time to develop relationships with any of them?

As for immortals having kids, there is this example: 80% of the population of Mongolia can trace part(s) of their genetic lineage all the way back to Genghis Khan. The man got around *ahem* so to speak.
A quarter of the asian men alive today get their Y chromosome from Genghis Khan. I have heard that 1 in 10 people on the earth today are related to him.

I think Wilt Chamberlain has caused a similar situation in the US :D

A lot of Europeans like to claim descent from Charlemagne. No idea if it's on the same scale as Genghis Khan, though, since Charlemagne probably didn't have concubines like Genghis Khan.

Well, he was Frankish. If that is anything like French, he could have got around.
