You guys wound me, I spent 2 months solid working on the Valiant cards. I penciled inked and watercolored all my cards based straight from the storyline of all the comics except Q&W. didn't know at the time we could use those characters. And no most of us do not do quickie sketches, these are mostly fully drawn and painted or colored with copic marker or oils or acrylics pieces of artwork. Most of what RA uses for advertising is something easy to recognize for the consumer.
Believe me most Fan artists couldn't do what we do on that small of a surface. Most can barely draw a head on the cards.
Here are some cards I did for another company as well as Rittenhouse. The Batman collage and She-hulk are Oil paintings

I would not be able to draw like that if someone paid me $.

In the secondary market or promos with the LCS it can be purchased at a discount.

I like your art ... but when I buy from you directly I'm getting exactly what I want

In this case we might end up paying $60 for a card that we don't like

If I had more disposable income .. i might roll the dice and get a few set's

But between all the variants, lithographs, upcoming statues ... I need to be a little selective and prudent

Good points.

Thats really how cards are. I don't buy sports cards, but enjoy watching box / case breaks.

Its just how the business goes. Overall if 500 sets sell out. MSRP.. they will appreciate in price.

I'm giving this product a thumbs up because its Valiant's Trading Card Set.

500 original one of a kind cards are limited. I think these cards are priced right. VEI, Rittenhouse, Diamond, LCS all need to make some $.

It's all good I just don't like the excuse of the art being not up to snuff as a reason not to buy.
Also if you only buy for resale then that's a whole nother argument. I'm not a collector so to me these things hold no value or interest, to me as an artist i like them for what some of us can conceive and execute on such small surfaces.

Nice art on the cards :thumb: .
Don't know if I wil bit the bullet, but thanks for sharing some images and back story :thumb:

For me I would like a boxed set, as individual packs are fine , but all the spare cards make me want another set. And so on and so on.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Oh and the Eternal Warrior Pic in the original post is My card. I did that with all the main characters. The rest are storyline cards. We will get the ok to show the cards that were approved usually a week before set release so look for a few of mine posted here. Right now working on Star wars cards for Topps. My first Star Wars set. A few SW cards.

I've been looking for the best and least expensive place to get them online. So far... its $52.99 per set through ImpulseCreations.net

I was told that the wholesale cost is not much below the retail price which doesn't leave much room for discounting. Usually pre-orders on comics is a 30%, but not on trading cards apparently. Impulse Creations does not do volume pricing, but they told me that their prices are low as possible on every item regardless of the order size.

Shipping rate is $5.50 for standard or $7.00 for premium shipping on reserve account orders shipped within the US.

If anyone already orders from Impulse Creations, that would probably be the cheapest at $52.99 each. These can just be added w/o additional shipping costs.

I was thinking of doing a group order for VFans, but since shipping these out will be $5.50 flat there wouldn't be much of a break.

Deadline is until July 5th if anyone is interested.

UPDATE

Received several PM's that members cannot figure out how to pre orders these.

Simple. You first need to register for an account and activate the reservation system.

Here are the images:

Image
You can find the Valiant 2013 Cards Under Action Figures and Toy Titles.

Image
After adding the cards, you can edit the quantity needed.

IC does not charge your credit card until a week before the item ships.

The prices are also not shown, but they are $52.99 per unit + $5.50 flat per shipping

Any questions, email them at: sales@impulsecreations.net

If there are any other vendors here that can sell them for less... Let us know.

Not completely true - it's more that if they are not popular they will come onto the secondary market at less than wholesale.

But, given the new information you have posted I will be ordering a few sets. You did your work a great service. Thank you!

Anyone know the Diamond Previews order number for this set? Checked JUN and JUL with no luck.

May be why the sets are limited. Rittenhouse may be testing the waters. I hope they keep going, Drawing Marvel DC gets a bit boring after a few hundred cards.
