TWO UNPUBLISHED 'CLASSIC' QUANTUM AND WOODY EPISODES?
I don't know if this topic has been touched on elsewhere, but see the following
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/10/14/ ... omixology/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Was Rich Johnston imagining things? TWO Christopher Priest and Mark Bright Q&Ws? I couldn't find any details of their having been made available as digital downloads by Comixology.
But I don't want them as digital downloads -- I want them as actual paper comics, to be slipped lovingly into my existing Valiant longbox after Q&W #21 and before Q&W #32! Failing that, maybe as part of an HB or TPB reprint program.
Most of all, I would love for VE to come to some agreement with Christopher Priest and Mark Bright to continue their run at least up to #31, and preferably beyond. I would still buy the new Q&Ws. Of course I would.
Any raised voices in support of this out there?

I, as well, am waiting. We shall see. The only support I have seen is nothing. As in, Priest's blog is VERY quiet lately.
Hey, look! I have a podcast!

Re: TWO UNPUBLISHED 'CLASSIC' QUANTUM AND WOODY EPISODES?
I've been re-reading the little I have of Priest's Q&W run. It's a concept that I never really cared for but Priest handles it so well. I can't put my finger on exactly the difference between Priest's Q&W and the little I've seen from Asmus, but I'm not sold on the new concept or the little I've read. I think Priest had a subtlety and poignancy that I've not seen from Asmus. Asmus's humor just seems silly and feels like something I've seen before. When I first read Priest's Q&W, it was so much different than anything I had read in comics.

#22 through #27 were solicited, but cancelled, so it's possible that a couple of those were (at least nearly) finished.

Are there still plans to publish the 2 unpublished issues?Rich Johnston on 10/14/2012 wrote:The other evening I popped into the Valiant offices, officially the closest comic book publisher to the New York Comic Con.
What I found was a proper, working Bullpen of comic industry staffers preparing comics for publication, arranging their NYCC schedule and and the midst of it, arranging me.
I grabbed a few comics, flicked through Shadowman #1 (Mr Twist is the standout character of, etc etc etc) and then learned something tht shocked me to my core.
There are two finished, unpublished, episodes of Quantum & Woody, the buddy superhero comic by Christopher Priest and DW Bright that was published to great acclaim. They are sitting in a bottom drawer of Valiant. And I got to see a very spoilery double splash page.
And from next month, when Valiant republishes Quantum And Woody through ComiXology, we will get those two unpublished issues as well.
That’s of course, as long as no one firebombs the office. They are situated in the same offices as Planet Parenthood after all…

When I started investigating, I found out that it will probably never happen.iggy101us wrote:Are there still plans to publish the 2 unpublished issues?Rich Johnston on 10/14/2012 wrote:The other evening I popped into the Valiant offices, officially the closest comic book publisher to the New York Comic Con.

Unless some things change.
Have you read Klang? Priest's account of the whole thing? It includes some scripts. Not the same. But some delving into it.

No I haven't read Klang. Are the extras in Klang collected in the Omnibus?

But from what I have heard - some of the mess involved in the whole writing in Q and W included a few classic media characters. Solar, I think. Magnus - I don't remember. But the scripts were in Klang. Along with an extended look at the creating and development. I love Priest. But man, he was honest in the book. Wanna say it was three bucks on amazon.
