I actually thought that he had a slight point that the creators of the properties should get royalties for their creations use, but he pretty quickly devolved into flame warring and abundant quoting. And also saying that there was a legal obligation to uphold contracts from before the bankruptcy against logic was a bit grating. It makes me sad when someone has an opinion that has a grain of wisdom in it devolves into trolling...

I mean, there IS a moral obligation there in regards to the creators; it's just limited to royalties, despite clauses in the old contract that they (sadly for them) missed the chance to utilise for whatever reasons those might be. What COULD have been isn't the issue. And VEI has proven to be honourable in regards to the creators of the IPs their company is built on by giving them proper tribute when they in no way have to. It's a sign of respect that the industry should take note of.

But... to answer your question of where "quotey" went? Check the CBR thread...

That Quotey guy was using that quote from Busiek on that CBR thread about the whole creator rights to the Acclaim properties thing in a thread on here. it had really crappy timing too. It started on the tail end of a big bunch of really crappy rainy days but then this weekend it was all crazy sunny warm. And i had to work too
