They helped me in getting most of my Valiant collection back. I really appreciate it.

I have to send out a huge thanks to Carter for not only all the time and effort he put into getting the flipbooks sent out, but when I had issues with the post office he included a signed Bloodshot #1 1:50 to fix a problem he did not create. This is way above and beyond anything I was expecting. I talked to him to thank him for what he did and he was a great guy to talk to and is very enthusiastic about Valiant. I can't say enough about this guy. He asked that I pay it forward so when the opportunity arrives to do so I will.

I recently posted a "for trade" thread in the b/s/t section, offering a promo shot glass for one of the 1:20 first issue variants.

One of our new boardies took me up on the offer almost immediately and as of yesterday we've completed our deal and MarkRoseHFX is the proud owner of a nice top-logo shot glass (with black bag! -- can't leave the bag out, it reminds me too much of my D&D gaming days when I had one just like it for my multi-sided dice!!), and I am the proud owner of the BS1 Aja variant (my favorite of the four covers naturally).

So big props to Mark on this friendly little transaction!!

But wait, there's more..... Since I've been on here (and before) I've done deals, made trades, hooked people up, given to causes, etc., etc., (as we do), and sometimes things you do or how you treat people come back to you in unexpected ways. Which leads me to 400yrs who hooked me up with the Harby 1 1:20 after seeing my thread in b/s/t, sent gratis! Thanks again, Lee!!

I will also post and thank the people I have had interactions with here too.

1. Ed (Paradise) - I bought 340+ Vh1/2 books from him to start my collection. He gave me a great price and was real cool about being patient while I got my paypal account setup (turns out in Canada it takes like 5-10 days before you can get confirmed to get it setup for the first time) Books came shipped in a Diamond Distributors box, that is a solid box, like what booze comes in. Very happy

2. Squirrel - I bought all of his remaining Valiant + other comic stuff from him. A ton of Vh1 added, and a few Gold Keys I got a whim, but they are amazing looking. The colors on the covers are phenomenal. Happy with the price and everything too. Glad to have been able to buy these, where they will be treasured. I only recently realized that one of the freebies he through in was a Four Color 596! First appearance of Turok from when it was published by Dell! I will have to pm him about this cause... wow.

3. Phantom - Had an offer to send Unity 2000 #3, and Shadowman Vol3 #6 to anyone who bought a bunch of Squirrels stuff. These are rare and expensive Acclaims so I am thrilled with this. We are also discussing other stuff too. Really nice guy

4 - Phantom + Greg - The Gold Turok issue, real nice work on the gold Phantom, and real cool of Greg to handle the distribution. Happy to be able to help a worthy cause.

5. Hawkeyeps - already +1'd Mark above, but saying it again. Thanks for being one of the case buyers/organizers and also to grab us that free stuff. Really cool of ya.

6. Bloodshot - no financial transactions yet, but some pms back and forth and he will be my next target to get a bunch of stuff from I think (just not sure when that will be since work is slowed down

)

Props/Big up/respect/Gentlemen and scholars, etc, etc... all that stuff to all of you

I may have joined here many years ago, but was dormant until end of January 2013! The above interactions have been in a few months... with people who were previously strangers... on an internet message board! Unheard of before now (to me anyway).

When he offered to send free comics, I figured he meant two or three but he sent five. Not only that, but one of them had a variant cover.

So it was more than I expected in several ways.
